uhhh.... honestly.. when I was 16 I was bangin broads..

sorry to hear that. in my case, my gf always gets in the way of my gaming. its pretty hard to play these days since she hates it when I do not talk or do something with her, when we're together. i havent actually made her play games. she only loves FPS like medal of honor and call of duty games.

Gaming has saved my marriage and my sanity- so help me God! We have been married almost 20 years and we can't watch TV in the same room. He hates the shows I love and I can't watch his shows because it's inevitably "Cops" or "Animals killing other Animals" type of shows:) For 15 years, I would read a book beside him on the couch. For the last 5 years, I have played online games every evening and these last 5 years were the best of the 20:) I hardly ever think about hiring a Hit-Man anymore LOL! Lori:)
LOL Lori...I know exactly where you are comming from. My wife watches shows I can't stand...all the home renovation n birth/pregger shows...(makes no sence since we have a new house n 5 kids). So I spend most of my evenings on the PC gaming. I know if I didn't have that, we would at least have two seperate TVs.
As to the OP, how could your wife not have known about your gaming habits before? Or did she assume that once yas were married you would spend every waking moment sitting by her side?
What you should do is take a break from gaming for a week. Then sit besiders her on the couch n be as annoying as hell for the week. Changing channels on the tv all the time, talking about how stupid the shows are, poking n bugging her...ya know stuff like that. Then when you go back to gaming...she will be glad you are on the pc rather than buggin her. It worked for me!

Its all about moderation my friend. You shouldn't be spending all day playing games regardless if you're single, especially if you're married. If she literally told you to STOP playing games altogether, you need to tell her right quick, NO!!! That's not about gaming, that's about controlling your life or trying to change an important part of it. You have to compromise a little of course, but that goes for everything. Those who won't compromise won't stay married long. Its no different from someone playing golf or any hobby. You can't expect your wife to be happy if you play golf all day every weekend. uhhh.... honestly.. when I was 16 I was bangin broads..
So if I were in that scenario, I wouldnt even think to turn off the game / shut down the PC. I would simply jump off teh game, jump on the girl..

I feel that now, I'll play more games than chase girls. but like in the previous post (some on posted on this thread) someone said that everything is good in moderation. That said, I play my games in moderation and take my RL first before anything, but then again, thats just me.

sorry to hear that. in my case, my gf always gets in the way of my gaming. its pretty hard to play these days since she hates it when I do not talk or do something with her, when we're together. i havent actually made her play games. she only loves FPS like medal of honor and call of duty games.

You know you've lost at this point and now you're just talking. I play games. That's a given. I'm 16, that's been said. I HAVE kissed girls, I'm not a virgin, I'm not prude, and I don't dislike sex. I love it. But at the moment I am single because I choose to be (already said that). Girls don't dislike me because I game, and I don't spend all my time gaming and none chasing girls. I just don't chase the girls like I did when I was 14-15 because of the experiences it brought me.
Sex will be more appealing, but I'm not going to bang any girl that walks up to me in a skirt (if I was asked a year ago, the answer would have been different).
Besides that, I like to relax with gaming. Sex isn't my idea of relaxing.
You can argue it all you want, but honestly, only I really know what I have and haven't done.

Im single by choice, I game when I want for as long as I want. I have "@!#$ buddies" if I want sex.... personally Id prefer to do some more of the side missions in Fallout 3.
Lets face it.... if sex was an mmo... we would call it a grind after 5 levels.

LOL Lori...I know exactly where you are comming from. My wife watches shows I can't stand...all the home renovation n birth/pregger shows...(makes no sence since we have a new house n 5 kids). So I spend most of my evenings on the PC gaming. I know if I didn't have that, we would at least have two seperate TVs.
As to the OP, how could your wife not have known about your gaming habits before? Or did she assume that once yas were married you would spend every waking moment sitting by her side?
What you should do is take a break from gaming for a week. Then sit besiders her on the couch n be as annoying as hell for the week. Changing channels on the tv all the time, talking about how stupid the shows are, poking n bugging her...ya know stuff like that. Then when you go back to gaming...she will be glad you are on the pc rather than buggin her. It worked for me!

Its all about moderation my friend. You shouldn't be spending all day playing games regardless if you're single, especially if you're married. If she literally told you to STOP playing games altogether, you need to tell her right quick, NO!!! That's not about gaming, that's about controlling your life or trying to change an important part of it. You have to compromise a little of course, but that goes for everything. Those who won't compromise won't stay married long. Its no different from someone playing golf or any hobby. You can't expect your wife to be happy if you play golf all day every weekend. Its about moderation and compromise. But if gaming is more important than your wife, you might as well end it=)
