Brad Wright, co-creator of Stargate Sg-1, and Stargate: Atlantis was asked in a Q&A if there would be Stargate Worlds references in the Universe series or DVD films. His answer was short, but extremely telling.
Will you make Stargate : Worlds references in the Universe series or DVD films?”
BW: Stargate Worlds seems to be in trouble. Shame.
For those wondering who Joseph Mallozzi is, and why a question and answer on his blog can be taken as a reliable reference, he's closely tied with Stargate, and has been both writer and executive producer for both series.
Further indication that all is not well may be a post made at a competing mmo related news site's forum (not sure about the rules regarding links to a competing news site here, so I'll not do it, but I imagine most will know here I mean and can find it themselves) that has someone claiming to be an investor stating that the game is being rushed to be released in March.
Considering they only had one relatively very short closed beta stint before halting it, and with many comments from beta testers saying that when it was halted it was no where near a release state (I personally make no comment on such things), things certainly don't look good from my perspective.

I hope they pull this off, really like stargate and would love to explore it ...
Yeah a sci-fi mmo like this one is what we need, so I hope it gets better and that they have some luck surrounding it now.
