Just burned out on MMOs. They aren't what they use to be for me, which was adventurous, dangerous, fun, and rewarding. Maybe in a few years there will be another MMO worth exploring but for now I'll just read to get my fantasy fix. This is my list so far of what people have recommended to me. Feel free to add your own suggestions.
A Song of Fire and Ice - George R. R. Martin
Codex Alera Trilogy - Jim Butcher
The Night Angel Trilogy - Brent Weeks
Mistborn Series - Brandon Sanderson
Abhorsen Trilogy - Garth Nix
Dragonlance Chronicles - Margaret Weis/ Tracy Hickman
Coldfire Trilogy - C.S. Friedman
Magician's Apprentice - Raymond E Feist
Odd Thomas Series - Dean Koontz (not fantasy but I like supernatural stuff)
Name of the Wind - Patrick Rothfuss (his debut novel supposed to be epic)

Jack Chalker I have enjoyed most of his books. A mix of sci fi and fantesy.
haven't heard of him but I'll check it out.
Right now im reading Dark Tower by Stephen King,
It's like a fantasy western type setting, which I thought sounded odd at first, but i've really gotten into it.
Dunno what kind of books you like, but figured i'd throw that out there as a recommendation
I would say epic fantasy with great character development and an immersive world is what I like most. Kinda like playing a good MMO I have also heard the Dark Tower series is good.
I loved the Dark Tower series. I still haven't finished it though.
Multiplayer Games!
I am not much into fantasy and struggled through Dark Tower. I will say the last 2 books in the series are well worth reading the series. They are like an epic themselves. If you read Stephen King, he ties a lot of his other stories into the Dark Tower series. I want to say so much about the story but don't want to ruin anything so will keep my mouth shut.
A little off topic....Hugh Hewitt did an entire show interviewing Vince Flynn. I haven't listened to it yet but it is found here. Vince Flynn is one of my favorites. Hugh interviews authors every so often and usually has read the authors books.
