i REALLY want a game that aside from my profession i can have a side job, crafting, alchemy, whatever the case may be.
pvp is important, but not necessary i suppose ill take suggestions.
nothing real old like runescape etc, something somewhat new.
decent char customization - races, classes, things like that.
kinda random i know but ill take all suggestions

Mabinogi may fit the bill nicely. While a lot of the character options during creation are locked into cashshop features, the variety of armors and clothing in game means that I can recognize anyone I play with on sight without consulting the name tag (except for everyone running around in shapeless robes. Thats their own fault.) There are no classes, you just find a combat style that suits you and raise the skills you feel would help. There are about a dozen life skills that are not combat related, covering everything from fishing to music playing to blacksmithing.
sounds cool man ill check it out for sure
How abt Phoenix Dynasty Online? Everyone looks identical in the beginning but once u can craft your own armor set (or with help from others) then you can customize it to your own needs in terms of elemental powers. Besides crafting, you can also learn to strengthen and refine it further! 5 non-combat professions to choose from; weaponsmith, armorcraft, leatherwork, jewel-smith and potion-making. 4 classes such as Paladin, Assassin, Wizard and Priest but there are 5 elemental powers to choose for each char; Metal, Wood, Fire, Water and Earth (similar to having races imo). Game is in 2.5D, graphics, spell FX, and artwork is excellent for a 2.5D game. Give it try a PM me, IGN Lord_Venus
