At the current state of wow all the posts are just people complaining about how there class sucks and how theres not enough to do in endgame haha

you have to be joking........    give me an MMO with more end game options than WoW.....   go ahead I dare you.

Heroic 5 man dungeons (12 currently for level 80's)

10 man raids (6 currently for level 80's)

25 man raids (6 currently for level 80's)

5 battlegrounds including one with vehicles and mounted gun positions

    world PvP (underused but available)

Wintergrasp PvP zone with vehicles etc.

achievements (my favorite, many with titles and rewards)

rare items to collect (rare mounts etc)

    faction rewards

..........   I've played a lot of mmo's over the past 10 years....  none has more endgame options.

It also has over 100 dungeons total......

The "current state of WoW" is "healthier than any four plus year old MMO has ever been"

you dont have to like WoW, but you are a fool if you dont respect it.

Don't be so defensive dude, nobody was bashing your game, just stating that their forums are the biggest waste of space on the internet.

Yeah... the WoW general forum is pretty legendary for its abundance of trolls these days.

Haha aye, they might be the biggest waste of space.. but only because they are the biggest!  As far as wasted space this forum is no better, just different.

I have found plenty of useful info on them..... both actually.... but you have to dig through the crap for sure.

My problem was that fella with the numbers in his name o-O  said  "given the current state of the game"  which is a load of crap!

Uh, lets see; Final Fantasy XI hands down has more stuff to do not only at end-game but throughout the entire adventure than every AAA MMORPG combined:

List of things to do in FFXI ~ Not everything is listed here either!

    FFXIclopedia

You can do everything in WoW and all other AAA MMOs in a few weeks or months tops {each one}.  Now I dare you to play FFXI and see if you can do it all in under 3 years!

I am aware that FFXI is a contender....  if it wasnt for the outdated graphics I'd probably be playing it... but still I dont think it offers the variety of options at end game that WoW does. I would have to  discuss it blow by blow with a FFXI educated individual =)

That's one massive amount of spin had if i have ever seen.

WoW's leveling is build around questing (which takes a significant amount of work to develop) where as FFXI is about grinding.

Also, the fact you can't do it as soon is because it takes forever in FFXI to actually do something. Having a lower level up pace does NOT equal more content.

You can force higher res textures on the PC version and it looks amazing. All you listed; basically was that WoW has tons of several types of instances all of which you kill a few mediocre mobs and defeat a boss, kill a few more mobs, and another boss....rinse and repeat in every instances. Same thing, just diff strategy all requiring tiered gear you must have to proceed.

So I'm automatically not an FFXI educated individual? Does playing it off/on since the Japanese launch 7 yrs ago not count....heh

Adding an generic NPC with a ! that says go kill 10 x with a bunch of pointless text nobody reads takes a significant amount of work? rofl All of FFXI Missions and quite a few of the normal quests have extensive cut-scenes your character takes part in.

Thats all WoW basically has are quests & instances you run over and over and over again...."grinding them" If you're not grinding mobs for raw XP, you're grinding simple quests for massive amounts of XP...its the same thing.

Can't do what as soon....earn XP, quest? Both are available immediately and can be done consistently throughout the adventure or quests can be done after you reach 75. Leveling isn't as slow as many make FFXI out to be...a first time player will surely take longer, but if I wanted too I could get a job to 75 just as fast as any class to 80 in WoW, but its not about rushing to end-game that of which is all WoW has too offer anymore.

There are tons of really cool events and things to do throughout the adventure of FFXI no matter what level your main job is. Having things level capped make it exciting for everyone and always a challenge no matter when you decide to do it.

...and your right a slower pace doesn't equal more content, but overall there is a ton more content and things to do than you could imagine...have you ever played it?

UNfortunatly, I find it difficult to find any MMO forum where trolls dont predominate. I'm afraid the forum world has been conquered by the trolls. We ought to construct a counter strategy.

I always found it kind of funny, that if you do a google search for "Omen," you get the following results:

    1.  Omen Threat Meter

    2.  The DEFINITION of the word OMEN

    3.  The Omen movie... a classic released over 30 years ago.

If that's not a sign of the coming apocalypse, I don't know what is.

Science flies people to the moon. Religion flies people into buildings.

If there are that many, then why is it still called end game?  I am  pretty sure you can't do them all at once and need to run one a few times before you can do the next.

Sounds like sleight of hand to me
