The game is officially released in Europe, the client is no different in NA.  The 'Open Beta' that Acclaim has in progress is actually a release as you can already pay to play now and activate a subscription.  Your character will not be erased when the change is made to an official launch.

You can play it right now and subscribe at either spellborn.acclaim.com <-- NA Acclaim Servers

    or eu-players.tcos.com <-- European Servers

I play on the EU servers because Acclaim has repeatedly proven that they're pure shit as far as publishing this game goes.  The choice is up to you where to play, though.  The game will be the same no matter which servers you choose.  The only differences will be the community, how quickly updates are made and communication with the people in charge.  I happen to think the EU servers are better for all of these, especially if you live in Europe.

The patches are pretty small.  The client is around 3 gigs and the patches are much smaller, they won't take long to download.

All right thanks alot for the infos :).

I got a technical problem right now that just happened. i was about to download the client when i saw the "update your drivers" part on at the bottom of the page. So i clicked to see if their was any new drivers for nvidia and a new one was released april 2. So i clicked download and installed it. when i rebooted my computer every was messed up and it seem my 2d card wasnt installed anymore (laggy internet page and such).

I just Desinstalled my 3d card and reinstalled it without the CD. now everything seems ok but i dont think i have the newest drivers. Is there any way i can be assured my 3d card is fully updated?

Ive also find myself laggig alot in hawkmouth, is this kind of normal?

I haven't played TCoS in a few days, but the 2 days I played (which was a less then an hour each day) there where a few people running around. I'm on the NA PvP Server. I rarely saw anyone talk in chat and usually when some did it was for one of the group quests.

I think lag you are seeing is the client, it seem to freezed briefly now and again on me for like less then a second.

Are you on the EU servers? The NA servers were loaded with players yesterday when I played all day long.

If you were lagging in Hawksmouth but not out in the forest then its your computer. Some of those areas in town can be demanding on your system.

The level cap is currently at 50.

ya i would have to say i play on the NA pvp server and there are plenty of people on at all times of the day that i have been on. I have a good system in my eyes and i lag a little in this game i think its due to the server and one of the reasons it is still open beta.
