hey guys! need some help here.. im confuse which is the best suit for my mercs.. artillery or cannoneer?..
it be best if you guys give me some pros and cons about them.. ^_^

If you don't take into consideration the skills, the Cannoneer is the better of the two. All the Cannoneer's stats are higher than Artilleryman, not much, but every bit helps. When skills are added, the Artilleryman can make up for his lower stats with Deep Insight. Don't get me wrong, Smoke Bomb is an awesome ability. The Artilleryman also gets 2 skills, while the Cannoner is only stuck with one. Deadly Shot (Artilleryman) has saved me several times when I get other monsters to join fights, but has a limited use.
The main difference is that Artilleryman lowers enemy defense, and the Cannoneer lowers the enemy offense. If I had to choose between them I would almost always choose Cannoneer, but most of the time I have both of them (I like debuffing my enemies to death )
i almost have the same dilemma as yours... im planning to fire my artilleryman and replace it with a canonneer. the only thing i like about the art. is the deep insight, so i guess im gonna change jobs and make my main from an axe to a cannon...but im still not sure:P
Gravarg thanks for giving some advice there.. im also considering that stats of cannoneer.. may be i will try to combine them and make a debuff skills or even stun i guess..
im thinking of replacing my art to a cannoneer by i still love my art. deep insight is helpful if your an aoe type though.
For me cannoneer would be much better. There are health check licenses anyway.
Hmm it's just the same weapon..LOL anyways both have different skills but it's the same where they can target in a cross line...I will choose Canonneer... because it lowers the offense of the opponent..

at the moment i really like my artillery and i dont want to loose him in my line up.. he's helping me a lot in battle in. maybe in the future it may change my mind and switch to a cannoneer
That's not really the best purpose of Deep Insight, it lowers physical defense by the most out of any debuff, that's really the only reason to keep an artilleryman.
