1. Lots of itemization. aka random stats on items (if possible), grays to rares and everything inbetween have chances of droping. Or w/e you can think here. Basically a game that everyone isnt toting around the same stuff.

2. A game that you can get by without depnding on parties. - Not a huge issue if i have to party -

3. Lots of mobs to kill with items flying every which way. I like sparklies! :D

4. 3D or a very well done 2D client.

5. A game that you can't buy the best stuff from the item shop. (If there is an item shop)

6. Something that isnt a horrible grind but i dont mind a reasonable amount of grinding.

Games i've played:

Rappelz

Requiem

Dark Eden

Faldon

Rohan: Blood Fued

dungeon runners

you might want to try Red Stone.

graphics are 2d, but they are quite well done.

there are loads of people playing, you can party with them or go solo, some characters are obviously better at soloing.

there are loads of classes. well not that man i guess, 6 or 8 , i cant remember now, but all of them have 2 totally different skill trees and some builds in those as well. how different are those skilltrees? for example one class taht can be a wizard (your typical nuker or buffer etc) or werewolf. id say no game has such diverse classes.

game is a little grindy, but id say its quite alright...

other than that... id say you are out of luck. : / diablo 2 is the only fast paced action game with rpg elements that is so smooth and cool. no other game came close...

There is no mmorpg like D2, so u won't find any since D2 is not a mmorpg anyway ;)

The only game close to D2 as F2P i guess it's Infinity online or games like that (3D) but there aren't drops, it's just an action mmo.

You can try 2D mmorpgs but if you expect them to be like D2 you will be dissapointed.

Eh I just tried red Stone, Graphics are like D1 not D2.

That is the breaking point for me ^^

Felt like I was playing with a collection of Pink Pixels less a Character

nah diablo 1 had better graphics. or atleast it had such style that wont ever get old lol. in some ways its even better than diablo 2.

as for redstone... yeah well graphics suck. while i didnt like it so much that id actually play it... it still looked pretty decent.

if a game with such horrible graphics can have so many features and unique stuff, why cant 3d free mmos have those? pathetic situation imo.

Oh well, i forgot to mention a mmorpg "similar" to D2, Cabal online would be the closest, you kill massive amounts of mobs, grinding doesn't really hurt...leveling is more or less...fast.

The cash shop is very nice and balanced, nothing that really unbalances the game and still you can buy cash shop stuff from players anyway.

It's very solo play friendly, you can solo the majority of the dungeons and mobs.

The only difference would be items, the best stuff is mainly crafted and there is not grey stuff and epics, just different stats and enchanted or clean.

I thought dungeon runners reminded me alot of D2. May want to check it out.
