I did leather working in OB... perhaps I'll do that again.
I'd like to say, also, this is the only game where tradeskills were even remotely enjoyable to me. I didn't like them in EQ1, they system in Horizons made me want to cry, and I didn't even bother with them in SWG. But in OB of WoW I got leather working to 95 and skinning to 140. It wasn't terribly time consuming and I was able to make some useful things.
Yeah, I'd do Betty.... But I'd be thinking about Wilma.
Im going mining/engineering the concept of being able to make something that only me or other people with engineering can use is quite luring, always fun to have unusuall gadgets (well as unusuall as it gets with all the other engineers ).

well I think that becoming an enchaneter is tough as u need alot of money, as I try it during open beta, just to buy that stuff for enchanting cost around 2 silver, if it is findable then it is worth learning, so what your other profession
for me not decided I would prefer enginering

me and my RL buds did some picking and choosing, looks like mine will be enchant, but not sure what else to get. Tailor.. bleh! I guess I could get tailor for the bags, and then drop it later.
Remeber everyone, you can all have Fishing, Cooking, and First Aid! You get as many secondaries as you want, so get all three.

Well, I did Mining/Engineering with my gnome rogue in OB and it worked out alright. But, the only useful thing Imade were bombs; and I barely used them. I made SO much money from selling copper bars. Once I got my first Gold, everytime I looked I had at least 4G in my pocket. This time, I'm going with skinning and mining for maximum income. Then I may switch around. Which leads me to this question:
If one were to switch professions, he/she doesn't keep the skill points right if they were to go back to their original profession? I wouldn't think so; just asking.

Enchanter looked really appealing to me as well as I read more about it. I may try it on an alt or something, but I think I'll be sticking with my herbalism/alchemy. I'll be playing a NE Druid, and it just "fits" for me.
Besides, I liked handing the people in my group HP, armor, regen and strength boost potions at the start of an adventure
i think i'll be going with leatherworking/skinning because i like playing shaman and hunter which both use leather. i like to have a tradeskill that is useful to that character. enchanting is appealing to me but it won't be the first thing i use, maybe on a later character.
How many can one do ? Im interested in being self-sufficient and would like enchanting, leatherworks, fishing, cooking, first aid, and maybe mining to make money. Is it possible to do all those ?
I plan on setting up my chars like this..... Hunter- Skinning/Leatherworking, Warrior- Mining/Blacksmithing, Mage- Tailor/Enchanting, Druid- Herblism/Alchemy and maybe another Warrior with Mining/Enginnering.
