Seems good...hopefully my joining the community when the forums first opened and also been decently active in the community will get me in.

MMOs Played: I can no longer list them all in the 500 character limit.

I don't like their way of thinking. How are you suppose to properly test the product in a FAKE environment? They claim they want to test balance and stuff but players will not start the game with maxed out skills,so this is dumb IMO.There will NEVER be a situation in the game where all players are equal with maxed out skills,so why on earth would they test basically an end game issue?

The forums will be flaming if their is a huge unbalance of class and skills from the start of the game, this is what they SHOULD be testing. They said they want to do it in phases, well that seems ok but start out at the bottom the way all the players will start the game, that is what they will actually witness in the game, not end game stats.

Also the crafting part is again a mystery, what if in REAL game situations, certain crafts are found to be easier and faster and stronger? They need to test out the WHOLE beginning of the game, the way players will experience the crafting part of the  game, not some fake scenario. They need to have players start out in the ACTUAL starting areas,to test how balanced crafting will be.

Basically it sounds like they are testing this game in a BACKWARDS mode,i have no idea the purpose behind this or what it will prove,it for sure does not test the game from a true perspective.

I am not sure yet,but since there will be a lot of PVP,have these guys made any issues about their anti cheat/botting for this game? That will be the biggest concern over anything ,as cheating/botting will totally ruin PVP as it always does. Will there be ACTIVE GM's or the typical Asian FAKE GM's that are NEVER there. They show up to run the odd event or to reset servers and that is it.

Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

Damn Im getting really excited about this game! (even if Im a themepark player :P )

"both race, age and size will have an impact on the attributes."

"This is also the première of our blood-mix system. Races in Mortal Online are not static, and all races within a species will be able to interbreed, giving you the option to choose your ancestry and heritage in detail. We will only focus on the human family in the first phase, with the option to blood-mix between them. Kallardian mother and Tindremic/Sidoian father? Orcish father and Khurite mother? Both visual appearance and attribute caps will be dependent on the mix."

This is what a RPG should be like!

If they can deliver the rhings in the PP then this game will be something very special, it really shows how differnt from DF its going to be. This is what  a sandbox should be like! (in theory atleast)

    If WoW = The Beatles
    and WAR = Led Zeppelin
    Then LotrO = Pink Floyd

This will just be the FIRST beta phase.  They are doing focus tests.  This first test will be to balance weapons.  The point of this first phase is not to see how fast people die, test skill balance, or how the game will actually play.  They just want to get all of the weapons balanced.

Seems to me they are starting at the bottom.  Balancing weapon stats is a fundamental part of the game and something almost everyone will have an experience with on their first day of playing.  Again, this is just the first phase of their public beta tests.  Some game's public beta phase lasts over a year.  It's not like they are starting public beta testing and then releasing next month.  That only leads to disaster and I think this development team is aware of that.
Let me ask you this.  What would you rather have them focus this first phase on?
Also the crafting part is again a mystery, what if in REAL game situations, certain crafts are found to be easier and faster and stronger? I think you are missing that this is just the FIRST phase of testing.  There will be more phases and most likely one of them will focus on the crafting system.
Basically it sounds like they are testing this game in a BACKWARDS mode,i have no idea the purpose behind this or what it will prove,it for sure does not test the game from a true perspective.
How is this backwards?  If I was developing the game combat would be the first thing I would focus on getting right.  Seems to me they are doing the testing perfectly.  Maybe whatever game you're trying to compare MO to did it backwards?

MO will most likely have the same type of cheating that is seen in other FPS games (aimbots, wallhacks, etc).  It does not matter how good your cheat protection is, someone will always find a way around it.  EVERY SINGLE POPULAR GAME ON THE MARKET has some type of cheat.  Bringing this up serves no purpose.

Will there be ACTIVE GM's or the typical Asian FAKE GM's that are NEVER there. They show up to run the odd event or to reset servers and that is it.
Again, I don't see what this has to do with anything?  Just seems like you're making up stuff to complain about.
