All Servers *Crowded* , deinstalled after 1 hour

GoromhirGoromhir Member UncommonPosts: 463

after 1 hour trying to log into at least one of all the servers without any chance, booted back to desktop everytime failed login i deleted this game from my harddisk without anymore interest.

this must be a bad joke, like 16-20 servers all showing RED "CROWDED"

seems to be big business for Joymax if people are stupid enough to try to login for hours...

with all the 3rd party programs out there that allow the botting proces of multiple characters while not forgetting the sh¡tload of goldbots its no miracle that silkroad has been hampered by "crowded servers  for almost 2 years now.

great game at its core while flawed by its features and customer service

I feel your pain dude,it is perhaps the WORST run devloper i have ever seen ,no wonde Korean.Guess who is nexxt opn the list? yep NCSOFT another Korean developer,it is really sad how they run things over there.

Tell me this is not a coorupt run developer? The servers read RED,you CANNOT enter...BUT! if you pay for an item mall, you are guaranteed entrance ..lmao.Sooooooooo  even though the sserver is over run and laggy as hell, they will let EVERYONE on,if you pay them.

Then we have another problem....THIS site protects games by locking out 3rd part software discussions, yet,JOYMAX runs ILLEGAL botting on their servers so that they can make ILLEGAL money by running gold selling operations outside of the law. This is a FACT EVERYONE in game knows it and will shout it out,and try reporting one of those bots?I have reported probably 100 and not ONCE have i ever seen the bots removed, what dopes that tell you?i think it is obvious.I wen tthrough the EXACT same thing in L2,i reported MANY botters and none were removed, and yes thet did respond to my tickets, but never acted, again the reason is obvious to me.

I would garner a bet that ALL the F2P games are doing this, this is how they make actual money outside the tax system and outside the law, becaus you are not going to make millions by offering a f2P game.So sites like this protect the two faced liars that are abusing the system they CLAIM to be abiding to....i say BAN these games from this site.

Furthermore ,i would like to see this site get TOUGH and start interviewing some of these developers running these F2P games, bring out the dirt on these guys.

Silkroad runs an ongoing list of banned botters on their site,i say RFLMAO,that list should be in the millions, there is actually MORE botters i nthe game than there are real players. In one day alone i got a list of 40 botters, then i got tired of writing them down, because Joymax does NOT act and there was just so many i got tired of it.

Then the chat is spammed over and over with gold sellers, you would think if the ycared at all, they would remove the spammers, but they do not.

Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

Not only do they NOT care about the situation on that game, they'eve even gone as far as actually DELETE any threads on their forums that tell the truth.  They EVEN deleted all "Save Silkroad Online" threads on the site!

There's someone from the forums there that is making an account.  Once he does, he'll show you some  very interesting information as to what's really going on there.

the best thing you can do, is just forget that it exists.

There is nothing you can do to combat the F2P traps of yesterday, but you can bet that the industry is changing for the best and the games that remain in the past or try to scam their way into your pockets aren't going to remain around forever. ESPECIALLY since many reputable game developers are starting to go the F2P route..

Only thing we, as the consumers and players of these games, can do is ignore their existence. Let the botters pay for their game (if they don't pay and only bot, of course that means no money for the developer and game goes bye bye).

That and get the fed up players out of there and into the better games, which I have been doing over at their homesite ever since I gave the game a try (and quit within 24 hours).

Since the official forum mod is  deleting threads and editing posts, i would like to see this forum  continue the discussion of the game.

But i wholeheartedly agree someone needs to investigate. Interview JoyMax, and ask about the "synergy" June Son mentioned in an interview.(Was an online article discussing the partnership between devs and advertising ingame.) Find out why or if JM is going to take the gold sellers to court for damages for the use of copyrighted intellectual property ie: their Silkroad logo. Ask if the sale of ingame rare items for real money will be prosecuted as well (selling intellectual property owned entirely by JM per their TOS) . Ask why there is lax security on site and ingame and why they will not assist in recovering hacked or lost accounts, even when it is their fault. Push them to discuss why GameGuard does not function, yet the splash screen displays it at start up. The GameGuard website used to show JoyMax as a customer, even listing in their timeline the start date Silkroad had used it. That has been removed from the site - there is now no mention of JM.) Ask why the TOS was changed and no one was notified. (I would prefer an email advising a revision to the TOS, as I believe  most legitimate companies do already.) Ask why there is no ingame support, such as a button to report bots, or real ingame [GM]'s. Ask why they allow adult content to be broadcast by global chat, and yet it is a pg-13 rated game. Ask why they allow offensive guild/player/grant names, and symbols. Feel free to add more that i may have missed.

It really is a fun game, but it is not managed/supported well. Which is really a shame for all the new players who can't even log in or relog. If I were just starting to play it now, I would delete it and move on too.

I am quitting Silkroad because of the crowded server issue and Deco because it is a Joymax game too.  Both games are fun, but I am unable to even post to the Silkroad forums.  This posting issue may be because of my own ignorance, but in my opion Joymax cares very little about the player.

As far as bots on Silkroad, they may be bad, but  Ithink they just get blamed.  I think the crowded server issue could be resolved in two ways.

    1. Do away with stalls and go to a auction method of handling things for sale.

    2. Limit inactive players (afk, etc) time.  I know this cause I got in the game from 2:15am until 8:45 am while I was asleep.

Silkroad developers can implement both ideas, I know cause this has been done in other games.  I would suggest or post this, but Joymax has some sort of thing about your in game name being used and your level.

It must be true, I read it on the internet!

all the things are awfully true and actually there are soooo many solutions to the crowded servers. example:

if you want to sell good weapons for a fair price to players and not to the cheap-buying shops. You must stay logged in and open a stall. then leave you pc working for the whole night not letting other players to logg. plus the number of people wich are afk (trading, or just afk so they wont have to try connecting for 2 hrs) is more than the number of people that are active. the best solution for this is OFFLINE TRADE. the best example for such a thing is atlancia online. there not only that you can offline trade you just put your stuff into a market wich then sells all your stuff and so you just logg off and let other players logg in. when i always entered a city in silkroad it always lagged because of the numbers of traders there. thus if you pay them money they will give you to enter the server in any case. they will even kick 1 of the players wich is not paying them.when they do that they show you that connection was lost due to some reasons while they actually kick you because ur nothing to them if you dont pay.

silkroad is a very intersting game and is fun but because of theyr cheap and bad services, this game isnt that good as it could be.
