I have to say PS3 finally pulled through in my opinion.
I thought Nintendo had a few(3) really cool looking games, but those were all in-house(except the Metroid, which is still calaborative) games. Still didn't see any 3rd party stuff that blew me away. I thought the Silent Hill might be good, the no weapon aspect really makes it a survival horror, but it just looked underwhelming to me.
I honestly wasn't amazed by anything MS had. Their motion sensor app was really cool. Then Sony had theirs, which was miles better.
Thoughts?

PS3 but over all PC IS the leading platform in gaming seeing as its getting the most games.
I'm going to have to go with Microsoft on this one.
In my opinion, they announced the best new exclusives and showed the best gameplay.
They announced Modern Warfare timed exclusive map packs, Left 4 Dead 2, Halo: Reach, Crackdown 2 and Metal Gear Solid: Rising.
They also had the best gameplay premieres
Sony had some great news for you if you were a PSP owner which i'm not. On the PS3 side, i'm left dissapointed.
There was
- Final Fantasy 14
I would be excited about this if it wasn't for the fact this is an MMORPG. MMORPG's on consoles are always poorly done ports and I don't think FF14 is going to be any different. If it is, i'll be excited about it but i'd rather be pleasently surprised then to be dissapointed once more.
- That racing game, Modracers?
It's just a no go for me. LittleBigPlanet was fun because it's a platformer, but I just don't see the same appeal in user created content in what seems to be at first glance a pretty shallow Mario Kart clone.
- The Last Guardian.
Team Ico game = Win, but already knew about this and the trailer was leaked a few weeks ago.
The Motion controller looks great, but i'm going to wait until there is an actual game for it before I get excited.
Now the PSP GO!
Imo, this is just a sad joke.
First its design. Yes, Its smaller but it doesn't look like its very comfortable.
No big deal, I lived through the Dreamcast days, I can manage a poor controller.
But the biggest joke was the price tag.
A 100$ more expensive just so I won't have to go to the store to get my games? really?
If I'm paying a 100$ more, it better comes with some new good features and as far as I know, the PSP GO! is exactly the same as a PSP 3000, just smaller and using Digital distribution instead of UMD's.
With that said, I think Playstation 3 still has the best lineup, followed by the Xbox360 and Wii and PC somewhere running a couple of miles behind.
You know the 2 blizzcons i went too were way more lively imo, way better speakers etc...
I could barely stand to watch the people talk about things, they seemed so stiff and nervous bleh...ubisoft was prolly the worst one or maybe Nintendo..not sure lol.
Anyways they need to work on that, make things more exciting somehow.

I probably love the PC as much as you do, but goddamn. Nobody cares.
Anyways, I liked Sony's the most, and I don't even have a PS3. Microsoft's was pretty good too, but they didn't show too much.
I was expecting more MMO news
meh, they need MMOCON or something.

Sony's impressed me the most.
I dunno. I tell you when it's over on the 4th.
I'm pretty sure the press conferences are over, actually.
I wasn't sure if it would fit in the title, so I didn't add it but what I was meaning was Which conference impressed you most out of the console companies.
Well let's see...

There may be some things I've missed or revelations in montages or what not, but in order of how things are revealed to me and whether or not they're exclusive, I have to give it to Microsoft.
That's only in the context of consoles though, Sony did have to talk about PSP for half the time and Microsoft completely ignored Zune and PC this year.
So comparing consoles alone, Microsoft had the better conference, but Sony's wasn't bad at all.
As for the motion controllers, Natal was clearly the most impressive one to me on all fronts except one.
Full body 3D motion detection trumps wands. The audio recognition in Natal seemed top notch as well. I might've missed it but audio recognition doesn't seem to be apart of the Eye at all.
As for that 'except one' clause, I'd like to see Microsoft challenge the statement made during the Eye display about a 'trigger' not being possible without an actual button to press. I wouldn't give Sony a point for depending on a button on a wand when it comes to judging which has the best motion detection; since firing a gun with the Eye wouldn't be dependent upon a wand, but if Natal depends on too much of a gimmick to make up for any lacking in recognizing fine finger manipulations I'd consider it a fault.
All things considered though, Microsoft definitely had the superior press conference. I'd actually rank it the best E3 presser I've seen period.
As for Nintendo...well I liked the four player Mario and plan to pick it up. I guess Mario Galaxy 2 as well. My feelings towards those are obligatory however moreso than excitement. In general their presser wasn't at all impressive, and hinged upon "fitness" becoming the next big genre in console gaming.
Sony to be honest,
I like how they're not dropping PS2 and the new PSP looks really cool.
Didn't really like MAG, another warfare shooter, ok whatever.
The sense controller from Sony is AWESOME lol, I love the writing on the board he did.
Now just a smaller and cheaper PS3 .
I like Sony's the best. The nintendo one I couldn't even finish it was so boring. I think the best solution for the PS3 sales is to offer its emulator software for retail, so PC users can easily add it to their system. It will increase user base and it won't cost them money to sell it.
Nintendo or Sony for me. IMO, microsoft was left in the dust, because none of their stuff appealed to me...
I couldn't care much for the Sony and Microsoft jump on the motion stuff. (You do realize much of any real movement would not work or be awkward without an analog stick)
What caught my attention:
Nintendo - 1) New Super Mario Bros. 2) Monado 3) Metroid the Other M.
Sony - 1) The Last Guardian 2) Final Fantasy XIV
Some reason I didn't feel very stoked about the Final Fantasies or Team ICO's game, even though I loved Shadow of the Colossus and have played almost all the Final Fantasy games.
I felt most excited for the New Super Mario Bros. It's just so nostalgic thinking back of the nes and snes days with Mario. But now there's Coop. Awesome!

Microsoft wins for game titles and presentation, however I really like those Playstation 3 "wands". Personally I'd prefer they drop the damn camera and just create wireless "wands" that know when you rotate, spin, or thrust them. Only the Arena demo looked any good with them, and obviously the tech is not being released anytime soon.
I also have to say I am pretty hyped about 'The Beatles Rockband". I've been waiting for a Beatles release since they first started doing the dedicated releases.
Also, pretty awesome trailer:
www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-09-the-beatles/50198
Some games really got my attention. Brutal Legend for example. The cinematic trailers were awesome as well, I think I have watched Assassin's Creed 2 trailer 10 times or so.
SW:TOR presentation is tomorrow I guess.
I enjoyed Sony's presentation the most and though i had not even looked at ps 3 before i might start thinking about it now.Very glad they are not dropping ps 2 yet love my ps 2
Liked the pc games announced looking forward to seeing some of them.
Enjoyed microsoft's presentation.
Was dissapointed in Nintendo and glad i sold the wii a while back. It looks like they are doing well with the new direction just nothing caught my eye there.
While always been a die hard Nintendo fan with release of wii and direction they are heading in i guess it was time for me to do other things....
My favorite games in the past year were Blue Dragon and Overlord......
I don't like Nintendo's library(haven't since the N64) but I have to give them a ton of credit for the influence they've had on gaming. Sony and MS went from pushing polygons and graphical effects to following Nintendo's lead on motion controlled gaming.

I can't beleiev they are still talking about the PS2. MS did the right thing when they kicked the xbox to the curb as soon as the 360 launched. Sony's biggest mistake imo was releaseing GoW2 on the PS2 that could have been a huge console seller. They need to move on its 10 years old and really shouldn;t have games made for it anymore. As long as they allow games that are good to be made for the PS2 why bother with a PS3 at the current price point.
Hold on Snow Leopard, imma let you finish, but Windows had one of the best operating systems of all time.
If the Powerball lottery was like Lotro, nobody would win for 2 years, and then everyone in Nebraska would win on the same day.
And then Nebraska would get nerfed.-pinkwood lotro fourms

PS2 is still selling really well in third world countries and Sony is making a killing in profits.
I can't buy any 360 games for our Xbox now and would have been cheaper of with a PS2 and would still find games in the shops. Xbox360 has too many shooter games too, half the presentation was about shooters, console shooters don't interest me.
Also what is Nintendo still doing at game conventions, all they seem to make is lifestyle, sports and silly games.
A Wii-remote............extender.............wow, a whole convention to promote a 2 inch piece of plastic..you go Nintendo........
Fully agree with this that Microsoft had the win this time, even got annoyed at times with Sony where they almost with every game felt the need to talk sale figures.
Microsoft's Xbox and Sony's playstation 2 were in completely different positions. The Xbox had only sold around 20 ,million units and was running at a loss. the Playstation 2 had over 120 million units sold and was running at a (huge!) profit.
I don't think God of War 2 would have made much of a difference. Keep in mind that while God of War 1 was very successful, it became a successful franchise with God of War 2.
The thing is, Sony was still making lots of money off of playstation 2 sales and god of war 2 software sales. God of War 2 would probably not have sold as much if it was released on the PS2.
