Can't even start to download the game.

in Aion

Last night i tried to start the aion download, when i woke up this morning it was still at "Downloading install information". Which means nothing happened in about 7 hours.

 

I deleted the ncsoft launcher and reinstalled it a couple of times, always the same. I notced that every time i try to download it it gives me "error during  last operation" in the lower left corner of the window.

 

Any help?

    I'll tell you how to fix it for a beta key.

    You need to change some code in a file...let me find the post...

    Here will fix your issue...

    This is a different problem, its not the DNS issue with the patcher.

    He can try that fix all he likes and it won't work.

    I spent 2 hours figuring out how to fix his (and my) problem yesterday.

    Have the client installed and ready but no key.

    Delete all of it, reboot then run it again as an administrator. See if that helps.

    Even if i had an extra beta key  you would be the last person i'd give it too, since you seem to know the solution to my problem but you're asking for something in return. Have a nice weekend looking at the launcher.

    Guess my beta key will go to waste.

    This has helped with someone else with the exact same error, i can't promise you that it'll fix your problem, but its worth a shot right? right?! ;P



    this was her problem:

    "Arial font is corrupted and may need to be installed.

    you need to remove the Arial Font and reinstall it.

    Best done in Safe mode."

     

    Instructions on how to accomplish that:

    I would try just reinstalling the font first (to see if it can pull the fonts from a cached OS file) as removal and reinstall can be tricky.

    Especially if it asks for the XP disk and you don't have it on you.

    This can happen in Vista and XP.

    they said the game was in beta .not the client .its simply lack of mind from nc soft .they could have delayed the client even more time. i have the beta account for it but i wont try it:P.shame on you ncsoft!!!

    yeah after  trying to look up the solution for you on the beta boards, this seems like a common problem.  hope it works :)
