is xfire safe?

is it a keylogger?? can someone hack you machine if you install xfire?
I like to be sure before I install, thanks.

    who knows i havent had any problems e-donkey is a pain sometimes but i never have any problems with my xfire ports and whatnot

    It records the amount of time you've played a game and it's an Instant Messenger with the funcionality of showing your contacts what your playing and where among other things.

    And Ive also scanned xfire with adware/spyware scanners and norton antivirus, nothing malicious about it.

    Installed it recently and put sometimes on a scan with outgoing information, haven't found anything yett. And see you already have a profile with xfire so think you have decided to try it out as well ::::20::

    If it comes packaged with Americas Army (made by lol get this, americas army) then it is okay in my book.

    Great little program, using much less memory than msn and also lets you join the games that your friends are in from a single click.  Also shows you useful info such as the ip address and whos in the game etc.  Its also totally clean, and has already been recommended by atari for UT 2004.
