Secret places in WOW

One of my fondest childhood memories (somewhat pathetic I know) is discovering, on our own me and my buddy late at night, the warp zone in Super Mario Bros. Many high 5s were exchanged. One of us had the idea to try to jump ontop of those bricks from the elevator and it made our night.
Does World of Warcraft have anything like this? I don't mean warp zones, but places that are very tough to get to unless you know a secret way there? For instance, on a flight to Stonetalon from Ashenvale... I see theres a ledge with a building that looks like no one is there, is it possible to get there?
Some people like questing, others like pvp, this is the kind of stuff I like, as weird as it may seem. I think WOW would be a lot cooler if there were things goin on like this.

Ah man being a druid is perfect for this, there's places underwater that you can get to with the seal form. But I can't really think of any off the top of my head.
IIRC east of Thunderbluff, when going to the land directly east, in the hills are some huts that are seemingly impossible to get to, though I've never really tried. The only time I've seen them is flying overhead.
not really, and definitely not anything worthwhile. games like ultima, vanguard, darkfall, ffxi, etc all have/had that kinda stuff though, and lots of times with some rewards : )

Real life brings repetition and pointlessness too. The only thing real life offers is Great graphics. Its kinda expensive too and way to dependent on the cash shop. Totally pay to win as well. No thank you. Ill stick to my games.
THe top of Iron Forge that can only be seen when on a grif. THere is a terrain glitch that one can jump from the path to the tree and run up the hill to where the trolls are fighting the dwarves. May have been fixed, but that was from way before TBC came out. Alot fo videos on youtube for that. But there is nothing else that I can think of. I tried for years to get to the trolls that are seen when you fly over to Darkshore from the Druid haven. Id get close, but nope. THe game that had the best secret places was SWG. YOu could be out in the boonies just chilling, then see 2 factions of NPC's start fighting. Fun stuff in that game.

the path between the area outside ironforge and to the place to the right u can jump up a corner place and go into a hidden deserted town area and even go into a tunnel with no end and jump off and go thru the ground and kill urself. the signs there have funny names too

bummer. if this had been in teh game more, i woulda probably been way more into it.
have they added anything since this ancient thread was made?
