HERE HERE!! You know Broomy, Ironz does have one good point. ALL the illegal aliens should be shipped back to where they came from. I'm sure the Native American Tribes would be delighted to get rid of them. Or am I incorrect in thniking the European explores didn't have valid passports and entry visas?

As a native american i have to say you are wrong. Dont speak for us. You cant. The US wasnt a nation when europeans sent invaders over here to kill and enslave the natives. I garantee you, the natives would rather have more impact in this country than see the european settlers leave. We dont tend to like mexicans and those from south america much, because they claim this land as their own and only tend to damage the land. You also forget that many of the founding fathers and following presidents were half bloods, those of native and european ancestry.

Let's look at the greatness of other countries, why single out America. Let's look at the whole world and all it's people. Where do we start? How about Africa? Did slavery begin in America? No. Let's give credit where credit is due why don't we. The people of Africa can lay claim to that little invention of social behavior. Sad though that so many other peoples thought it was good and took up the prcatice of it - not just American's, including - the British, the French, the Germans, the Italians...I could go on...but I do not think it is necessary.
Let's look at the bad Americans and how the decimated the indigenous populations of NA. Did it begin with them? Did they invent this form of taking over a land? Where they the first. I think we should go back and look at history for that answer. Where do we begin? How about Italy? The Romans where infamously known for how they took control of lands. Move in and if necessary kill the people and take over the land. Let's move forward in history to not so long ago. Say 400 years ago. Columbus came to the new world and with him came others - not from America mind you - but Europe! Oh but surely you cannot mean that you've forgotten who initially came here and decimated the indigenous peoples of these lands. Yeah that's right, the Portuguese, the Spanish, the French, the English...oh yes...it was Europeans that showed how to decimate a local populace via any means necessary. Well done...well done.
Oh how America must be the worst country that ever graced the planet Earth. Let's not mention the deaths of millions of Jews at the hands of the Nazis - and Nazis came from where? Germany mainly. Oh know Germany could never do anything wrong. Germany is a perfect country - unlike terrible America.
Russia and the era of Stalin and the purges that took place there and killed millions of other people. Russia is not a bad place it did no bad things in it's history.
Japan and the hundreds of thousands of Chinese that died at their hands. Just one example. But I guess the Japanese can do not wrong either.
England and the sun that never sets on her Empire was just incredible and Britain can do no wrong. Unless of course you look back in history and wonder how England created such and Empire? No force whatsoever was used in the creation of this Empire I take it? I wonder how the countries under English rule think about that.
Australia, can we leave them out of this? No way. Are you kidding I am on a role here. What country recently apologized to it's indigenous population for it's gratuitous violence toward another people? Can we say Australia and how it treated it's indigenous peoples? We can. Why? Because the Australians(though most are very nice people) had some bad apples and those bad apples did some pretty horrible things to it's original owners.
Cambodia and the Khmer Rouge - I guess they didn't kill 2+ million people.
Not even going to get into the middle-east because it could take a life time to write all the horrible things that the people of the middle-east have done to one another. I just don't have the time nor the patience for such an endeavor. Needless to say...if the middle-east is an example of how countries are suppose to be run - thank what ever God/Gods exist that I live in the US!
Look...I can go back through history and give little examples of other countries and how they are or were. The point I am making is this. No peoples, no country, no government is the best and during our history of the human race - our ancestors, yours, mine and everyone whose ever walked this planet is guilty of something and for you to sit in your smugness and single out the US as this terrible nation of bad people is not going to every change the fact that your nations did things before America even existed and in a lot of cases yours did it "better". Your countries and your ancestors and my ancestors(the ones from Europe) slaughtered hundreds of millions of peoples, whether in the name of religion, beliefs, nation building, or simply because they were different - your ancestors and my ancestors did it first and you cannot rewrite history -it happened and nothing you or I do will ever change that fact.
So when can I start slamming other countries and the people that live there for the way your country is? You seem to think it is fine to slam mine - when can I start singling out yours?
This thread is still going ? wow... seems mods got tired of removing any threads that even remotely hurt american's feelings.I remember getting banned here once for asking someone if he is american,I only said that and that alone in a thread and got myself a 5 day ban.
You have to remember there are two things you can bash in America (the rest of the world) thats God and America itself. Everything else is off limits.

You do raise some good points in that post but i think the difference between Americans and the rest of the world (generally...which is stupid of me but meh) is that Americans are seemingly more patriotic about their nation which leads to more (yes, patriots exist everywhere) silly comments than other countries. There are people in Germany who deny the Holocaust ever happened...seems silly but every country has these silly people.

You said something about the American ideal being good...I asked for Whom? you respond by pointing out the evils of other countries. More ignorance. It never ends. Please for the love of god shutup already. And when you make a point (ie: America being a good ideal) try qualifying it next time. Because Amerikka wasn't a good ideal but a nitemare for some.

No he meant me using an absurd argument to counter and mock another absurd argument.
To be more specific, the idea that everyone other than a native is illegal is absurd. Its a silly argument that states that australians would be illegal, that everyone in europe who took land from the native peoples are illegals, that everyone is suddenly illegal. The fact is the US wasnt a country with borders and national laws when the europeans invaded. Those who escaped from religious persecution are different than those seeking to exploit the land for profit. The point is that once the nation was born, the boundaries and borders became effective. Those crossing the borders without the consent of the nation are therefor illegal. The name itself comes from having law. To be illegal, the law must be in place first. To say that everyone other than natives are illegal when no law existed to begin with is pure stupidity. It shows a lack of rational and historical perspective as well as thinking.

Has anyone here read the actual first post of this topic??? probably not.. there plenty of people to go around and bash everyone im sure... I am an American and I love my country.. Im Polish and German heritage... I dont hyphonize my name like some do.. I am an American and I have defended her when she needed me and would do it again... I cant say for some of you but If most people out of high school would HAVE to spend some time SERVEing this country, they might appreciate what they have here.. and yes you ALL have the right to bash and even be racists... thanks to our founding fathers... You do raise some good points in that post but i think the difference between Americans and the rest of the world (generally...which is stupid of me but meh) is that Americans are seemingly more patriotic about their nation which leads to more (yes, patriots exist everywhere) silly comments than other countries. There are people in Germany who deny the Holocaust ever happened...seems silly but every country has these silly people.
Ever heard of the word "hooligan"? That is the term used by Europeans to describe patriotic or over zealous, nationalistic arse holes. Why? Because of all the flag waving "hooligans" that go to soccer matches across Europe and say and do some pretty terrible things. Yeah...all countries, all countries, have these and not just America.

America is a great ideal in concept (Everyone has certain unalienable rights), but as we can see, never works out too well when you play it out. I'm not seeing how it's a nightmare, to any. Hell, some people can't say anything about their government without getting imprisioned.
Also, compareing the evils of other countries, to the evils of America, it would seem America hasn't done as bad as others.

I posted what I did when others decided to attack my country with verbage rather than discuss the main topic of the thread. My post I created is true and I dare you or anyone to try to deny what I wrote is not true. I did not start this thread and I do not care for the original title of it - it was poorly written. Nevertheless, the total hate and disdain that was aimed ay my country was uncalled for and not necessary. So I thought I would retrun the favor and point out that America may not be all that - but neither is anyone elses. I think this thread needs deleted. It should have not been allowed to stay active this long.

Yes attack others,since you have no way of defending yourself.Whilst all the other countrys and such indeed may have done bad things,they have learned from their mistakes,it was a different mentaly back then ,it's a different one now.
What other countrys did is history,wich is rememberd soo that it may not repeat itself,every bad and good thing is rememberd,look at all the countrys ,they no longer have a desire for war,for expanding their territories.
Now look at america,it keeps instigating wars,keeps provoking millions of deaths,america did more horrible things that what other countrys did,and the fact is that whenever you do something bad,you erase it,soo you will never learn.
America is a country without any real history or culture,no ordeals and no traditions,you attack countrys that have strived much to keep their culture and way of life ,tho they might have done horrible things,they did good too.

The problem is you seem to find it necessary to point out my countries short comings and neglect to look back at yours and anyone elses countries short comings. When you do this it means you still cannot take the truth. The truth is America may have done some terrible things in its history - but I can show you a history of other countries and their peoples that make the US look like a saint. Ironic isn't it.

LOL. I'm sorry if trying to defend the HARD bashing you're giving my country, which it would seem is your country too. Your statements are backed up by nothing, it's pure opinion. I always find it interesting how humans are able to magnify their differences and squabble over them until something grander in scale eclipses them and shows how truely irrelevant they really are. While many people are here squabbling over the difference in nationality, throwing terribly flawed generalizations, and pretty much just being jerks to each other, you damn well know if Aliens invaded tomorrow, the vast majority of people would put aside their differences, and band together as Humans.
