Yeah, I see those adds all over the place. I don't think I've seen one yet that isn't tasteless in some fashion. I read an article earlier this year saying that the game is run by a gold-selling Chinese business. It also said that, despite the slogan on the adds, there is in fact no queen to save.

That is true.
The game is a direct rip-off of the Browser game, Travian. A game in which a player builds cities to build military units to go fight other players and take their cities.
Also the game was originally titled, CivOny using the same fonts at the Sid Meyer's CIV games, thus trying to make it look as if it was CIV-Online. The company also originally used copied images from Age of Empires.
The company violated copyright laws; but hey what do you expect from a Chinese Gold Farming Company? I would not be suprised if there is some sort of 'ware that is embedded with the browser and stays active to monitor should a user decide to quit the game and go to other websites (without closing the browser).
And that is why...
Conservatives' pessimism is conducive to their happiness in three ways. First, they are rarely surprised -- they are right more often than not about the course of events. Second, when they are wrong they are happy to be so. Third, because pessimistic conservatives put not their faith in princes -- government -- they accept that happiness is a function of fending for oneself. They believe that happiness is an activity -- it is inseparable from the pursuit of happiness.
