I've recently ended my WoW subscription and am looking for a new game. I've played WoW for almost 2 years and have come to the point of trying a new MMORPG. WoW was a lot of fun for me since it was my first and only MMORPG. I've tried some free trials and it's always the same. I expect it to be like WoW and I get frustrated and give up on the trial. Reviews and youtube clips have only done so much for my search for a new game. Many veteran MMO'ers on here seem to be able to pin point a game someone is looking for fairly well. I enjoyed the raids in WoW, but after doing them once it wasn't as much fun the next time and the next time and the next time. So I'd like a game with "better" PvP than WoW. I say "better" because I know some people enjoy WoW PvP a lot. However it's not my thing. I would also like a more mature game & community. Again my opinion WoW wasn't mature enough. I've made some great friends on WoW, but after awhile you get fed up with the majority of the community. Other than that I'm looking at a game with not a high cap like WoW and more character interaction. Leveling alts is somewhat of a drag in WoW. By character interaction I mean crafting and skills/skill ups. If anyone has any games that would fit this please let me know.
Edit: Don't have a ton of time either to raid 3-4 hours (normally more if it's PUG'd). This time restriction also limits my WoW alts which was a let down.

Well, my first option would be to wait and see how Mortal Online is, but you can try Darkfall in the meanwhile, although it isn't exactly like you said.
I too have ended my WOW subscription about six months ago right after my son was born. Besides not really having time to play a whole lot, WOW just kind of lost it's fun. Same thing happened to my wife. We played together constantly for hours and then one day it just seemed boring. I have now managed to cram a few hours of free-time into my daily schedule at the end of every night and i am back into playing some of the f2p mmo's a used to play. I would have to recommend Rohan as a good game to play. Its f2p so it's not as polished as some would like but for what it's worth this is a damn good game. Don't forget that everybody has their own opinions so i'm sure there are going to be people who respond and say it sucks or whatever... it's gonna happen with every game. Another game to check out is Rappelz. Its a fun fantasy based game with a neat pet system. Nice environments and scenery add to the juicy goodness of the game. You should also check out Zero Online, Godswar, Metin 2, Shaiya, Requiem, and Archlord. They are all pretty good and they have their share of pro's and con's. The main person you should be listening to is you. Allow people to suggest games for you to try and then YOU be the final judge about which ones you like or don't like and why.
