And yes, there may be a european based web-site getting this kind of promotion, but that would probably depend on if NCSoft has a Euro office. I am not sure if it does.

In the legalese on the contest page, it refers to NCSoft and MMORPG.com in the top, then switches to Monte Cristo Games and MMORPG.com in the fine print. I don't think Monte Cristo Games has anything to do with Aion?

Sorry guys, shipping items from the US that are worth $50 just makes no sense. It costs $20-$35 to ship the item then when you get it 9 times out of 10 your country will require *you* to pay tariffs for receiving the commercial item. It just does not work.
I am sorry but we don't have an EU division, we are a very small company based solely in the US.
We try to make all contests we can open to all countries but some just don't work that way - especially when the sponsor says no.

Yes NCsoft does have an office in Brighton, England. It used to be there European headquarters but has been scaled down to nothing more than handling publicity and advertising for the European market. But in saying that i can't see a European version of this competition ever seeing the light of day so....MEH

Anyway this is one of the few contests in a while ive actually wanted to win, hopefully i get one!

if I win I'll try this game. I wouldn't paid for a game, that's clearly only free to play quality.

Well my point is, if MMORPG.com is hosting a contest, why would ncsoft step in, they already have a contest going on for preorder players for a laptop and some other stuff, so if you preordered you are already taking part in that contest, i doubt ncsoft is going to go out of their way and intervene in private contests just because they arent 100% fair to all regions.

nice again europe is f... up, the reason that is cost's to much to ship it in europe is a lame excuse , if u can't offer the same treatment for all your ppl who joined this community stop making contests were u can win material stuff, you could have opened the box and put the cd-key as a prize , you wouldn't be the first or the last who does that . Here's some enlightening remarks to the locality situation:
A company contacts MMORPG.com to do giveaways. The company gives MMORPG.com a list of keys/prizes they want to giveaway. And they tell MMORPG.com where they can do the giveaway. MMORPG.com replies with a list of things they can/cannot do. And if the two companies are in agreement, you see a giveaway, run by MMORPG.com sponsored by the game publisher/developer.
Though, if MMORPG.com is hosting this without the knowledge of NCSoft, then this is because they want to increase user traffic, maybe get more registrations. That being said, they can only mail in the US/Canada (where contest legalities aren't too different). There is no racism going on here. Why do you teeny boppers have to jump to such conclusions?
Also, there have been several giveaways on here that were for europe only. I remember I couldn't enter in one because it wasn't for the US.

lazzy i supose u are from usa right , is not about the contest itself , is a about not been fair with everyone , and again is not about the sponsor thing is about money stated by the admin itself , why should they pay 23$ to send it to a guy's in europe when they could just make the contest us only and pay nothing.
