The game does look exactly like WoW! This isnt a debate, you cant say "O well thats your opinion" no its not!

Look at the human in any of the pictures on the site, he has not only the exact same body build as all WoW humans but they even sport the same hair styles and mustache!!!
Give me a break people, this game is the definition of a WoW clone. They even have two factions with 4 races each, and the classes are OOOO guess what.
Warden = Paladin
Ranger = Hunter
Soldier = Warrior
Healer = Priest
Magus = Mage
I mean come on, people seriously need to stop with the whole "Everyone has an opinion so no one can ever be wrong" attitude. Yes people can be dead wrong, yes there can be 100% proof of somethings exsistence.
The thing that baffles me is that there are people now adays who have an entire site dedicated to the fact that Air doesnt exsist!! Its not debatable people!!

It kind of does look like WoW .50 or WoW- The graphics seem a tad bit uglier to me.
He should not have used the description WoW clone, but as far as Graphics go, he is correct you can't deny the graphical similarities.. but you focused only on his "Clone comment" and had to throw out the usual Everquest retort.... So you might take a look at the last little part of your post and remind yourself to do the same.

All MMO's have grinds. If you don't like to Grind then MMO's are not for you.
It copies, clones, or steals classes from WoW. - Don't care
The names of people, places, items are copied, cloned, or stolen from WoW. - Don't care
The player charecter models and movement are copied, cloned, or stolen from WoW - Don't care
Kudos on your fine detctive work Jive! You have dug up plenty of 100% proof that means exactly squat to me.
I also doubt, that if ts an enjoyable game anyone else will care either.
LOL he does have a point, I don't think we've seen yet a game to copy WoW so much. And I thought RoM was bad....
Lmao RoM was the first major copy of wow but had added elements WoW did not have to make the game a bit "illusion" different. The game was ok at first release but then went to hell. This new one here is a true clone over RoM to WoW, they did not try to be different but hey it another MMO on the market and something to play.

Why should I not have used the description "WoW Clone"? Because its a common term? Yes it is, and it is over-used, but this is the reason why it is overused. Because there is so many games like this out there, that really are just Clones of WoW.

You know what would happen if maker's of MMO's had a college proffesor to hand in the final product to at the end of year? They would fail the course because this is one thing "Plagarism". The only reason they are getting away with it, is the medium for which they are apart of doesnt care.

You might want to do some reading up on Alganon's site. Don't remember WoW having most of the features or community tools that Alganon has, but if you need a point by point comparison here's a few things WoW is lacking:
Studies
Families
Library
Controlled Release
Kudos
Dual Role System
Fog Of War Maps
Blah blah blah etc. I could go on & on, and I'm just pulling the above from Alganon's site. I haven't played Alganon, you haven't either. So the screenshots look like WoW. So? If it's an original IP (which it is) with a good story and gameplay people like, so what? If your argument is that somehow Alganon is just a parasitic copy of WoW, and it's just Not Fair, you'll have to do better than "this is WoW with a different name and engine." You just said it looks exactly like WoW, now it has a different engine? Did the developers call Blizzard and get their source code when we weren't looking?
No need to hyperventilate. If Alganon is just another evil WoW clone I say just let it kill itself and ignore it. Otherwise your moral indignation doesn't seem to be worth much. Intelligent gamers can go to Alganon's (and WoW's for that matter) site and decide for themselves. If you're just trying to warn us about Another Game That Copies WoW So Watch Out you might want to wait until at least during the open beta. Then you can at least login and collect some real evidence. Good Luck!
It's not that people are timid its just that they are stupid and can't see the similarities.
Edit: And if you say something like what I said above you get a warning from a mod.
The next time I am in a book store I plan to complain to the management about all the clone books they have. I go into the mystery section and all I see are clones of Agatha Christie novels. In the SF section what is about all the Heinlen and Asimov clones? And, please, please don't get me started about all the Fantasy clones.
You would think any decent writer putting out a new fantasy novel wouldn't use the same old tired magic stuff and please don't get me started about the healers and sorcerers.
Don't all these people understand that just because they think they have a story to tell or can offer some entertainment that they are wasting everyones time? They should just go home and complain about all the clones instead of actually going to the effort of getting off their asses and doing something.
And will someone please tell J.K Rowling that she is just wasting her time with all that youthful angst wrapped around magic? It's been done and she is just a lazy clone writer.
