I've been really looking into Aion because im looking for a game to get off WoW, and I see the thing they really stress is PvPvE and how its will be the revolutionary thing to change Mmo gaming, but then I think about the concept of PvPvE and look at WoW's Alterac Valley Battleground which is by far the most hated BG in all of WoW, now i need some divine intervention here, I hate AV in WoW and need details on Aion's PvPvE and the similarities and differences from it and AV.

Aion's PvPvE is more interesting and exciting than AV in WoW... it's more interesting but I'm not going to try to convince you one way or another
::sigh::
Another person limited to WoWs perspective.
Aions PvPvE in WoWs terms would be pre-BC where the only PvP was the WORLD. No battlegrounds no Arena. NADA. But this time Aions actual zones are tweaked to PvP almost like Wintergrasp but not so objective based where you get in take the base and leave for 3 hours.
Aions PvPvE is VERY close to DAoC's Frontiers. Old and new.
Mobs everywhere that you can kill, people everywhere, wide open.
Is PvPvE in Aion a thing you would be able to do on your own or would you have to be with your guild to accomplish anything? And one more question is the PvE any good in Aion, like raid bosses?

From what I have seen there are keeps that you'd have to have help.
But that aside there is NOTHING stopping you from having 1v1 | 2v2 | 1v2's all over the place.... EVEN IN THE AIR!
No PvPvE refers mainly to the 3 factions where one is NPC. They all clash in the world fighting over fortresses and dynamic world encounters. There is a instance where the two factions compete to kill the same boss. The key is it is the same boss with the same final objective. AV is a rush to fight NPC's.. It is a completely different type of dynamic. Although i'd be bummed if they made like 6 of these that took players out of the world PvP.
They have pretty long cooldowns on instances though to keep people from grinding them and in the actual world which is really cool. They even increased the delay.
Sweet info dude, thanks alot I appreciate it.

Well, old school AV was some of the funnest times I've had in an mmo. If it was like that it could do very well I think.
I agree, closest thing wow ever got to world pvp after honor system launched.
