My guess is...if that is true, then it will be SC2 and D3.

Although a WoW expansion in Dec. 2010 would not surprise me either.

Doesn't remember really where I saw that first, but well, I just found out there :

They will all remain neutral.. but a different faction of goblins will join horde, just as with the undead, the undead kown as the forsaken have join horde the rest are still alligned with arthus.

Also I doubt the goblins currently in the game will look like the goblins that join horde, the goblins city was more or less at the heart of the sundering event "cataclysm" so theres a good chance the goblins that join horde will look different too. Just as "the broken" look different to "Dreinai".

Can't believe this article didn't touch that.

I couldn't care less about WoW, the game just isn't fun. Never really liked it from the start. As for Diablo 3, well I loved the first Diablo but didn't enjoy Diablo 2 nearly as much. So I guess I'm not sure how I feel about Diablo 3 yet.

But there is Starcraft 2. Starcraft 1 was amazing, I avoided all of the Warcraft games and played all the C&C instead (Love C&C). When Starcraft came out it looked interesting so I tried it and it was amazing, I played it for a long long time. Spent most of my time doing the 3 v 5 ultimate AIs on the big money map, those were fun matches. I think game companies underestimate on strategy and shooters how much the players enjoy teaming up against tough outnumbering computer foes.

However I hadn't heard the rumors that battle.net would cost money now. It's a shame really because my money for Starcraft 2 was guaranteed money before that, but I will not buy it if I have to have a subscription or pay money to use battle.net. Why would I when I can play any other stand alone game that I want online for free? I guess I'll have to see what gets said about that because that will be the determining factor on if the one thing I truly loved that was blizzard joins the rest of the group and I don't buy it. Why would they even do that?

You will NOT have to pay money be it a 1 off payment or sub to play SC2 or D3 on the new battlenet. Some features of Bnet2 will be paid4 but regular play is free.  Confirmed by blizzard many times, look back in this thread I posted links.

Some of the paid4 feature floating around, and none confirmed. are:

    1. esports - blizzard will regulary host esport tornaments, players pay $5 to enter and the winner wins the total sum of the entry fees, so if 1000 players enter the winner(s) share $5000 .. hell id give it a go.

    2. premium bnet2 account, a small monthly sub and you can play agains other premium account holders, kind of a way of flushing out the kids and idiots.

I'm very much interested in seeing more about Diablo 3 rather than SC or the WoW expansion.

So, Diablo 3 or the new MMO for me...

your probably ally anyway. Getting tea-bag'd by a gnome is less humaliting then tea-bag by goblin. and horde supposed to be the "So called, evil, humaliting side" .

And dont worry your probably Ally just go play your tiger fetish side.

A hourly fee? Please... I would not expect the idea to even cross anyones mind, its ridiculous. Personally I'd love a hint at what the next Blizzard MMO entails and am causciously optimistic they may discuss something about it if not neccesarily show something.

If there is a fee for Battle.net 2.0 then I expect it would be for services offered outside of what Battle.net 1.0 does, things like streaming E-sport matches, exclusive access to betas, sharing replays or something. Ultimately though I would be almost shocked if we had to pay a penny for anything, after all whatever it was for I think it would cause a pretty big uproar amongst fans. More information on the Starcraft II campaign would be mighty welcome.

Eh the only part if Blizzcon I'm looking foward to is the unveiling of Diablo 2 1.13 patch. I think there will be big upgrades to D2.

I have been playing Blizzard games since 1996 (I quit WoW over a year ago and have absolutely no desire to go back to watch them continually rape their own lore) and therefore I do not buy the argument the author of the article gives for the delay of SC II being they are Blizzard and unlike other companies they have the luxury of releasing when it is done.  Sorry to inform, but this has always been Blizzards way of releasing a game, it is a HUGE reason their games dont fail and they are at where they are today because of it.  ANY game company can do it, Blizz deleayed and delayed,  when they were still nobodies.  They did it at the beginning when they were nothing, they sure as heck will do it now, when they cant count all their $$ fast enough.  So implying other companies cant do the same, doesnt really hold water.  it is all about quality versus rushing an unfinished product out the door --  its a choice, and game companies reap the rewards of that choice.

Funny how people's memory get hazy, Bill Roper was voiceover and manual designer for Warcraft 1 and 2 and produced Hellgate London. 2 of the designers of Diablo 2 have gone on to do no more game designing, one fo them Steig Hedlund went on to found Perpetual Entertainment who made Gods and Heroes MMO. Max Schaefer (of Diablo 2) has gone on to be CEO of Runic Games. Design Lead of Diablo 2 (Devid Brevik) has now joined Turbine.

The original talent of those games that everyone gets misty-eyed over isn't there anymore or in some cases wasn't there to begin with (*cough*Bill Roper*cough*).

Think of Blizzard Entertainment as your favourite football team now being filled with minor league players.

Hmm... so I can play against casual peeps like me instead of full-time, super-elite robots?   Well as long as all the kids and idiots are premium account holders, like you say, I like it.
