It's probably just the one we had before but with the hogg files in the right folder. Looks like itwill still need to download the same amount.
downloading the new client now. fileplanet says its best to redowload if the patcher is really slow as well. Quicker to download the new client then patch the old tbh. Especially if you are a fileplanet subscriber.

I moved the files and reduced the patch amount to around 900 mb, however the patcher keeps locking up after a couple %. So even by downloading this it still comes down to cryptics patcher which is having issues right now.
well I am at 143mb of 1.86 on the new ver 9.20090815.6 it would be completely asanine if they uploaded an unpatched client and made us download a 900mb patch though. That is when I would call it a day for this one.
Being on the bleeding edge of a game release, means you are going to bleed (a little). Hopefully this solves it and we can get to kicking some butt.

so i downlaoded and installed new client and now i am getting a message saying updating launcher. Then i got a eror saying connection was idle for too long...

Uh..for one, it would be common sense to upload a patched client. That would eliminate all the problems.
Uh..for two, I would hope they have some sort of file compression on there, that would allow 900mb of patching to be shrunk down and that much of those files are replacements for old files.
I don't think that's due to the new client - I've been getting that msg too, it seems like the patcher just slowed down even more. I would give it a few min and try again. I'm betting it requires the 900MB patch too because they're the same size, but let us know?

It would make sense not to put up a botched client in the first place. It would make sense not to provide instructions to 'fix' said client that removes all of the downloaded files. It would make sense to not leave those botched instructions up for an hour after people point out that they are effed.
