Is it an issue with nProtect or the game itself? Also people should know by now not to upgrade windows for a long time after it comes out :p

It's Gameguard/Nprotect. They charge for updates to their "anti-hacking" crap.

And Windows 7 is better than XP and Vista combined. Been using it for a year and a half already. And it supports most every game out there, except for when devs don't make their new shit ( usually updaters ) compatible with an OS which is coming out in 3 months. AION had the same issue until they got the updates from Gameguard/Nprotect.

Not sure why companies bother paying for it lol. It hardly works.

It's basically a cop-out so the game devs can say "hey, we have anti-hacking software, so we did our part".

Gameguard is a fraud, it doesn't work and is in fact a rootkit. It hides itself among legitimate processes in your computer, so even when you uninstall the game, Gameguard is still there and can cause issues with other software.

I was bored so I did some searching, apparently its the x32 thats causing the problem. Seems Gameguard has a fix for the x64 OS, but not x32. Post I am looking at is from a week ago or so.

Edit: Well I didn't read the entire thing :p. Apparently some have gotten it to work with x32 but not all.

nProtect has a working x32 version, the game companies have to pay the license for it, the rappelz managers seem to be to greedy to pay it, they wait til win 7 is released it seems.

i for my part cant play and i will do shit to install XP or Vista over Windows 7 again just because of Rappelz or GameGuard.

i prefer to keep Windows 7 and wait.... or at the end dont play anymore at all

you said the following in that post "SORRY this is a joke, the game itself could be much much better if the developers would not only concentrate on how to make most cash.Rappelz is the Worst and most Expensive "CLICK to run/Click to do anything" HORROR GRIND game on this planet"

so why do you want to play this game if its the worst and most expensice horor grind out there?

I can't understand why its so hard for people to READ and UNDERSTAND what they read.
