Oh my everloving god am I sick and tired of getting people on my team that haven't the absolute foggiest idea of how to play the game! *Takes a second to catch his breath.*

If you want to be better at the game learn a few rules and strategies.

#1: Stick together when you are the survivors. I know you see a lot of the experienced groups running with a scout ahead and you see how it messes with your timing, but if he's attacked his 'team' automatically knows to come help him 'as a group' not just sending one person to help. (*I can't repeat this one enough...*)

#2: Coordinate your attacks as the infected. Unless you manage to catch a lame duck (someone off on his own a distance from his team) you're not going to be effective on your own. (The exception being a boomer, but it's still better to attack with your team.)

#3: It sometimes takes 2 people to help someone up. One to clear the zombies off of the person, and another to lift them. The third should be watching for hunters and smokers. It's good to get into the habit of forming up in the same way even when there are no zombies near.

#4: Special infected make certain noises, listen for them.

*#5: Buy a headset. Vocal communication is much faster and more effective than typing.

*Not necessary but helpful.

Follow these little suggestions and you'll stop pissing off your teammates, and you won't have to change your screen name so often.

    You remind me of the last time I played L4D, which was The last time I ever played.



    It was maybe my, 2nd or 3rd play as the zombies. I believe it was the Farm map or whatever, where you dig in at the farmhouse/barn. This guy, on his headset.. for fuck's sake.. He would not stop screaming because things didn't go "perfect", just to "his liking". I had never played the abomination or whatever, the big hulk. When it came time for the hulk to spawn, it chose me and it was the best I could do to learn the controls and figure out how the beast moves.



    He got so upset, I couldn't believe it. I kinda just stopped paying attention and did nothing, because all he did was yell.. and I mean F-ing yell man..



    At the end he was like.. "MY GOD THERE WAS NO REASON WE SHOULD HAVE LOST." etc..



    Nearly everybody in this game when I played was like that to some extent. They would get so upset over people not doing things "just right". I don't play that game anymore... good riddance. It's worse than Counter Strike in that regard.



    There's a reason why "RAGE QUIT" became more popular the past year or so....



    Just relax man, try to enjoy it. Part of the essence of a survival game is that you struggle and survive, with people you've just met. It's not about pwning the opposition, you're supposed to enjoy the hectic struggle.

    lol... you got the wrong idea of me from my post entirely. I dislike that kind of person just as much, but generally they don't know how to play very well either.

    I'm the kind of guy that's the only member of his original team left when the score is 3000 to 500 and everyone else has raged. I don't say much, I just get a little frustrated sitting here watching some people do some of the really stupid stuff. I understand that some are just new people, which is why I don't shout into my mic at them. Hell I don't even try to lead. I just try to pick up as much slack as I can. I just felt that those things I listed are important for players to keep in mind as they are playing.

    I agree! It's not that hard to learn if you play a couple of rounds! Stick together and use teamwork are thet only two rules, some people still don't get it. I can see if you're the tank or it's your first time playing, but after that you should get the hand of it fairly quickly. Just don't let the people that are jerks make you quit, keep playing and ignore them. Soon enough you'll be better than they are!
