What Game Have You Enjoyed Playing The Most? What made it fun for you?
For me it was Eq1. It was getting to know perfect strangers, and helping one another out. We had a ball discovering and adventuring into new areas, not seen by any of us.
I would like to know what other games some of you have enjoyed, and why it was enjoyable.

It was easily my first trip into the World of Warcraft. I was a humble Paladin, I suffered nerfs yet ventured all the way through the Molten Core. The reason it was the best experience? The people. I can say I still communicate outside of the game with several of the great people I met in the guild I was in.
Asheron's Call - hands down could go hours into why its the best game created. (was my first also)
Wow has its moments every now and then
Current: Puzzle Pirates
Waiting: SWTOR,Aion, CO
Played: AC, WoW, SB, EVE
Everquest ! Hands down this game was the most fun for me. It was my first, so of course it's going to have that "remember when" factor, but I just think that even today I prefer the mechanics of the older mmos compared to the new age easy mode games. Group grinds were the best! You actually learned a lot about folks and made true friends, many of which I still keep in touch with today.
Lorius-LotRO
Katano- EQ & EQ2
Wow was my first. Even though now a days I can see it 4 what it is. At the time I loved it, lost a job ,a girlfreind and 4 all I know a few bowl movements to the time I spent on it . It was like game crack.
WoW 1-60 Pre-BC was the most fun i have had in an MMO. The PvP wars and the groups of people and freindships you made befor the wrath of 12 year olds took over the game. I'd also have to agree Molten Core is my favorite raid dungeon ever created, Progressing through the dungeon with 40 other people night in and night out was captivating and hillarious fun.
Which Final Fantasy Character Are You?
Final Fantasy 7
FFXIV! You Ready?
For me it would be GuildWars, I still play with some of my original guildies to this day. WoW and GuildWars came out within a few months of each other and after trying both games we decided on GW and had some of the best times gaming I can remeber.
Eve was really fun for me about the first year and a half of it's release. I dropped in and out of the game quite a few times after that and would find myself just trying to make isk all the time instead of having fun .
What game? Starfleet Command 2 hands down wins for me. No other game has ever held me captive like this old school title.
MMO? FFXI & Guild Wars: FFXI was an amazing experience playing it from launch up to CoP. the Party based gameplay created friends I still talk to on a regular basis. And Guild wars because of the amazing PVP.
It was EQ1 for me as well, and for many of the same reasons.

Dark Age of Camelot without a doubt, especially before ToA came out. That was truly an amazing game! I still get goose bumps thinking about it and have never experienced a game like it since.
The only true MMORPG which is FFXI the rest is single player mmorpgs.
I'm with you, mate. FFXI was the best MMO experience that I've had. I loved the partying system/dynamics. The end game PvE is the best that I have experienced.
This is a tough one. WoW was my first MMO, and I really enjoyed it pre-BC. It's also the MMO I played the longest before getting bored.
I also enjoyed LotRO a lot, and played it for over 2 years.
Current: None
Played: WoW, CoX, SWG, LotRO, EVE, AoC, VG, CO, Ryzom, DF, WAR
Tried: Lineage2, Dofus, EQ2, CoS, FE, UO, Wurm, Wakfu
Future: The Repopulation, ArcheAge, Black Desert, EQN

I'm aware that this forum is basically the mmo version of the twighlight zone. I will say it's a tie between EQ, WoW and DAoC. If DAoC and EQ didn't change for the worst I would have never even tried WoW.
I know it's not a popular thing to do to give WoW a nod but you guys are like 1% of the population in the mmo universe and the rest of us love wow or atleast like the damn game.
Playing: WoW, EvE
Interested in: TOR, ER, GW2, WoD, Dust514
Hands down EQ.
DAoC was by far the funnest I have had in an MMO. Especially pre ToA. It was also my first. I don't think I will ever be into a game as much as I was into that one. I still remember grouping up almost every night and raiding the Albs and Hibs fortresses. And camping their DF entrances with my Shadowblade. SO MANY good memories from that game... I have been spoiled by that game and havnt been able to sub to any other MMO for over 2 months... /sigh
Long Ago - Dark Age of Camelot, Guild Wars
Now - Aion
Looking Forward To - SW: TOR, GW2, FF14
Will Never Touch Again - WoW
Smashed Hopes - Vanguard
Shadowbane. Sadly, every other game pales in comparison and now i am stuck game-less.
I agree with you 100% To this day I still have friends I talk to that I first got to know in EQ. The whole social aspect of the games seem to have gone out of modern mmo's. I love EQ and it will always be my favorate though not my first, UO has that honor. I still have fond memories of that game too.
This is a tough one to call for myself since I mean I look back at all the games and the times I enjoyed the most and I weigh them all equally. This might be because it was all for the same reason. Regular social interaction with a group of people and in all the MMO's I have played, there was a different group of people. I would probably have to go with WoW because I have played that the most and the most memories of it, but I can see EVE slowly supplanting it as I play it more. Far more interesting stuff that happens in that game that are random and different day by day than WoW (some might disagree )
Ahhhhh Starfleet Command 2....I can actualy see my v battered copy of it on my rack (fnar fnar). May have 2 just quickly reinstal this bad boy:)
Starcraft, for its excellent multiplayer balance and variety of skill rewards (a mix of tactical, strategic, and twitch skill rather than the mostly-twitch gameplay of War3.)
Oh, you meant MMOs?
Planetside, for having easily the most epic battles of any game ever. FPS action. Combined arms (tanks, jets, infantry, power armor.) Superb lateral progression system.
Oh, you meant MMORPGs?
WOW, for being the first MMORPG to get rid of most of the tedium and focus on the fun. It also helped that it was in a game world I was quite familiar with (having played the entire series.)
"What is truly revealing is his implication that believing something to be true is the same as it being true. [continue]" -John Oliver
for a MMo it was and still is DAoC
on the console it was Gran Turismo
