If you haven't seen the movie then watch it, this is the SGW license dead pool. When do you think CME/MGM will officialy announce losing/pulling the license therefore killing CME/Firesky/all team Whiting cash sink studios? The winner gets to have his/her own pet FanOri, the great thing about a pet FanOri is that you can constantly abuse it or ignore it but it'll always see the glass as half full and hang on your every word and believe it 100%. If there are several winners we'll have to workout a timeshare as FanOri are swiftly becoming an endangered species as we get closer to August 1st!

I picked 6th - 9th as I reckon they'll announce it on the Friday following August the 1st which is the 7th I believe. Is this my lucky day? Well? Is it punk?

Seriously I like to think of it not just being strange but more of a dare I say, strange charm?
Maybe it could be August the 16th? it could be known in future as the day both Elvis and CME died! However I don't see a Graceland for MMOGULs/CME/Firesky/cash sink studios, maybe they can put that stargate in the buldings lobby and have it as a shrine with a placard?

Why do you think it would be on a Friday?
I assumed it would be on the first business day after the deadline, which is monday in this case.
Thats assuming this deadline is even legit in the first place. It sounds like third hand hear-say to me.

In my experience companies like to do nasty things on a friday, like firing staff for instance. I'm just guessing they'll choose to announce it officialy on a friday as it just seems easier all round to clean your hands of the deed on the last working day of the week. Also less chance of a reprisal from a disgruntled employee that hasn't been paid in four months!
As to wether the deadline is legit, well everything else that has been poo pooed on the official forums from missed pay checks to MMOGULs to mass lay offs has been proven to be legit. So to disregard this would be rather illogical in my opinion, and who knows maybe Gary Whiting will drop some acid into the coffee machine at the meeting and MGM will extend the license?

I voted for the latest date. I seriously doubt they will ever announce it at all, they'll just pull the plug, change some names and look for a new collection of investors to milk for another phantom project.
Probably magic healthfood kiosks in spanish or a payday loan company.

No official responses, but there are leaks or speculations circulating

News: A game news site reports from an insider, that the license is pulled.

Official Response by CME: No Comment
August: 5th:
An official announcement is made, but not from CME or by its affiliates, of the license has been pulled and shopping out to a new developer (assuming by the same history as Star Trek Online).
