while I simply luv watching all the .hack series that they have, even the japanese subtitled ones that I've downloaded.

I think based off the current companies that are making MMOGs and the way the coders are not being detailed coders lacking creativity with the newer creations. I think it would be too hard for any group to tackle the world and make that a MMOG, so many of the things that could be developed in the world would simply be left out and not make it as diverse as I could be.

For instance it would be a horrid mistake to make only 10% of the armour weapons out there the best, it be better to make 40% of the armour/weapons the best or near best that way we can see so many people dress so differently that it would keep differeing styles that are displayed in the game itself. But then the trouble is everyone complaining about how any armour is able to be used, so they would really have to code so much into the wearables and useables that no MMOG has been able to reach that level yet. Plus the problems with the crafters and what you find when you loot items. No game has been able to strike a balance. Plus to be honest they would ruin the game as well by adding a tamer class because every single MMOG simply must have its Tamer class and it simply must be one of the two best classes on every MMOG(shot out to SWG you guys are still idiots for the creature handlers),

sidetracked: its not only SWG, its every MMOG honestly UO,AO,FFXI all have tamers which are too powerful, can't say about DAoC so my use of the word every was a bit in error.

but the world sets itself up to so well to be a cool MMOG, instanced dungeons, open hunting areas, and provide a real staff to run events in game like they do in the show, make it have drain items which are extremely rare but degrade really quickly upon use so that no single player can dominate the field for very long with such a powerful item, make it not spawn upon same person again.

Jeesh I should be a producer for a MMOG I can balance MMOGs. :P

You are aware that the producer in game making does most of the check-signing and has little to no say about what happens in the game, right? XD

Lets be honoest, this game will not appear. "The World" in the .hack games isn't reallythat good a game, its a means to an end, a way of furthering the story. Most people would not pay monthly for what is a substanard MMORPG. Also if they released it in 2007, all the hype from the .hack PS2 game would have disappeared and they would be relying on .hack/sign still being on TV and the comics still being around.

In a word, this would have to be revolutionary to succeed, to pull off the experience you get in the offline game (of being able to control the game and hack servers) but in real life the game would not be enjoyable......................... unless you could fight as a grunty. Lol

P.S. I am a massive fan of .hack before anyone thinks i've got a vendetta or something. Cheers
