Anyone get the chance to play this yet? Is it as good as FFVII or the past FF's? How is the story, gameplay, etc? I think I might have to finally get a PSP just to play this game.

This is funny because I litteraly noticed this thread like 10 seconds after the commercial played on my TV. I haven't played it but if you youtube it, the gameplay looks really awsome. If you've played previous FF's you can probably just run from there and judge it from that. To me personally it looks really cool.

The gameplay itself is not like most FF, where you target, then scroll through spells/ect to do turn based combat. It looks more 95% real time action with little inbetween cutscenes for some specials that you get off. The gameplay actually runs alot more like what you see in movies like advent children which is really awsome.

I'd suggest downloading the demo and giving it a whirl, if you can (download via the PSN store on your psp wi-fi connection, or use the media manager located at the sony psp website). It's a lot of fun, but VERY different from other FF games. It's basically a 1 on 1 fighting game, but the gameplay itself is sort of similar to Super Smash Bros combined with Kingdom Hearts (multiple tiers, 3D environment).

Couldn't tell you about the story, as I've only played the demo myself...but I wouldn't expect too much out of it (you can play most of the heroes/villains from FF1 - X, how do you fit that into some sort of decent story that make sense?).  It is a lot of fun though. :)

Dissidia is not really RPG.  However it is a very fun FF fighting game that also feature a bunch of characters from the series and throw in a rather interesting storyline for a fighting game.

I am thinking about buying it, but not atm, trying to wait for next month cuz of computer upgrade already spent 100 dollars.

I've actually wanted to try it out, as well as crisis core... but I sadly don't have a psp =/

I'm really considering getting one though if these two games are worth it.

You should. Especially crisis core. I finished it several times. A good story lne for the prequel of FFVII. Crisis core's story alone is a good one. Makes me feel sad about Zack Fair (the main character)... you'll know it once you play it. A very addicting game for me... I played it several hours a day. Try it. I guarantee you won't regret it.

For Dissidia. I currently am playing it now. just finished Cloud and Tidus story line. A good fighting game mixed with FF characteristics and FF Characters. What I like most is the goals in the game. MAkes you want to try eveything out. Also it asks for a day you play most of the time. On that day, you get bonus exp, bonus pp, bonus gil and evrything.

*Gonna close forums and play Dissidia =D

Man, I'm so envious. Too bad the PSP's still with my sister as she plays Tales of Eternia.

*Sigh* I just better pray that she be quick with it.

I am simply myself, no more and no less. And I only want to be free.
