what the hell if you convert to paid subscription you get a hologram that turns your character into level 50 instant? LOL
Every game that I play that isn't brand new has one problem.
The majority of the population is at the top level and the beginning areas feel deserted.
So why not help out people that just want to play a game with their friends?

First.. the one skipping the lvls has no idea how to propperly play their char..
Second.. the peeps who earned their way to lvl 50 - 90 will now be subjected to grouping with noobs.
Your train of thought is spot on with SOE SWG team... if you dont currently have a job then put in an application with them right away; im sure a guy like you would rise through their ranks swiftly with your game ruining ideas.

Believe it or not I got that in a freebie pack, was my first loot item that I got after coming back to SWG from Age of Mages errr I mean Conan. Still maybe if they took the wings off it wouldn't be that bad.

Uh huh. And you think this will build loyal customers huh? Not IMO. It will draw in the "gimme gimme gimme" kids who will put as little effort into anything as possible. The same ones who get upset with YOU for not giving them 10mil credits every time they ask. The same ones who will complain about having to buy armor. The same ones who will quit because they're "forced" to go get stuff to be decent in PvP/PvE. The same ones who will be asking for a 1Bil credit chip for "activating" their account.
The type of player promos like this draws in are not the kind who will sit by for 6+ months while SoE fixes a broken quest or some gamebreaking bug. These players are short term, high maintenance, low patience players.
And face it, this clearly shows they are AWARE of one of the biggest issues...leveling in SWG sucks!!! But...rather than fixing it, they do what SoE always tends to do...they SKIP it. They could have seized this moment to revitalize the game in any number of ways - bankable and spendable XP being the BIGGEST! Without any incentive to grind past 90, players wont. At least in the old days, we had FS XP to grind. That alone kept us busy and playing for MONTHS or more...hell, some of us didn't even want a Jedi, but the socializing was more than ANY game could ever offer.
So...IMO, all this will do, at best, is draw in a few people who will be far too lazy to ever become productive long term players.
LOL, not a chance. You can't "build" these. This is loot. Random loot from the TCG. You can buy as many "booster packs" as it takes for you to loot enough, but don't be silly...you sure as hell can't craft any of these.

to be honest why this holocon is waste. players don't need to be power leveled to 50. just questing i could reach lvl 30-40 in 2-3 days with the legacy quest. the most i can reach max level in 1-3 months tops.

They tried this before, remember Tux? This will be exactly like it was before. Existing accounts creating 4 noob accounts just to get the tokens. Or credit farmers selling "buddy" tokens to the extent of haveing a seperate vendor for them or endless spamming in ME. I can't remember 1 account that came with the last "buddy token" system that actualy stayed and played. With the new games that have came out, recently, or will in the next few weeks, SOE has to know they are not going to pick up any large amount of actual new players. LOL
All this amounts to, is another milking of the existing players. Pay 60 bucks and get some pixels that resemble a new item(s).
I dont understand how jumping to level 50 will do much for new players. That's skipping out on half the game's leveling (more so). I would think jumping that far would just leave the players not knowing what to do since they just suddenly get to be lvl 50.
Plus, whats to stop them from selling their tradeable items to veteran players? Reading the page it sounds like if you download that trial and just sub you get the items and could just sell them (trade for credits) to a veteran player who "referred" you. It comes off as a desperate move to get new players.
