Yep, prot no longer heals in arena. Arena is now fixed. Enjoy your (somewhat more) fair fights.

-Warriors without topgear will find ARP useless.
-Nerfs on TBW with shaman earthen power nerf makes beastcleave useless now.
-Pretty hard nerf on cleaves based on ench shamans(<--big one).
-FoK is no longer viable in PvP.
It looks like it's enough for me, WOTLK's balance is on the edge anyway.
Are you kidding me? it was a 12% nerf to ArP. That is like a 4% dps nerf IF IF IF you were heavily stacking ArP. The only spec that this has ANY meaningful impact on is Marksmen hunters. Anyone who is talking about Warriors and ArP in the same breath aren't actual WOW players. And this 4% nerf to DPS is going to be mostly offset because the hunters will now be using gear they were meant to use. This wasn't about 'nerfing' a particular spec at al, it was about gettin Marks Hunters to use gear designed for them. Mark Hunters may have to get a few different items and regem a bit, but other than that this is a meaningless change to everyone.
Yeah. Wotlk balance is so imbalanced. That is why the top 5 teams in last months tournament all had different compositions.
It would be stupid of Blizzard not to try and thwart the launch of competing games, but I'm not so sure this is the case here. Blizzard are notorious for doing 'their own thing' when it comes to patches and most often flat out refuses to give the player base any information on when the patch or update are going to happen...sure...the 'blue' posters give out tidbits of information now and then, but mainly...you don't know when patches are going to hit. Not even the guys claiming 'insider' information can say they know the week patches are comming...
Have any of you actually played the PTR? Onyxia isn't a full raid, it is one boss that required no new art. They buffed her HPs and tweaked the encounter a bit, but basically its the same thing.
The rest of the stuff is just fine-tuning of classes that we see in every patch. Every patch someone says that the nerfs will 'cripple' their character, but arena representation and raid representation is pretty good right now. There are certainly popular arena classes, but last months tournament showed that any combination can be competitive.
shouldnt of rushed a patch... if the case is its not finished... cuz aion sucks.. i just been playing it for a while.. dull and lack of variety.. but.. i dont feel like playign wow still.
Good idea to revamp an old Raid to the current game. They should actually have a look on all the older stuff.
Of course they released the patch earlier due to the launch of Aion, but they probably thought it is stable enough now. No use to wait 2 months just because they said earlier it should be released then, when something is finnished and works you should release it.
Besides, it is not as if they can't afford to get some more people on it. Competition is healthy.
I hope that 3 or so games will compete about being the biggest in the future because when one game hold 60% of the whole market as Wow did this spring they gets lazy and don't have to make great stuff to keep the lead. Competition is good for the consumers.

I'm one of those who hates these old revamps...maybe these raids will do but like this BRD brewfest moronism..."puke".
Or it's a burnout...first you raid 2-3 days and after that every single alt jerk from your guild whines for those vanilla trinkets and ...was it brown mount this time? And now we have onyxia mount...pheww...well...more boring rewamped alt raiding for the next two weeks. Maybe then all have mounts and we have a peace again.
Changes for classes were most welcome...there was some needed balance adjustment imo.
Oddly enough, the lag created by the newest WoW patch is larger on many servers than that people are experiencing in Aion. Yet another patch to add to the many lists of bumpy, untested, and unfinished rushed content Blizzard has done since vanilla ended.
Could that have anything to do with the servers being packed full? WOW is soooo terrible, and it's content is sooooo buggy.. yet here we are again with queues on Fenris, which is a very moderately populated server.
You complain about everything, what is the 'better' game? Why don't you try warhammer or AOC, both of them have merged servers down to single digits. WOW has 500 servers, and my very median server has a queue because players can't wait to play it.
They did not rush this patch for anything. The raid works fine, the class balance stuff (while you may not like it) is bug free. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this patch except 12M players are playing it, and for some reason that bothers you. Are yuo an AOC dev? I heard the patch AOC had about 4 months ago was pretty good, they may have another one next year even.
Heh, me a dev? I can only dream...just a normal gamer with a somewhat fanatical hatred of RMT. By lag I meant realms crashing, raid's bugging, and taking 7 seconds to cast a 2 second ability outside of Wintergrasp. Also, as far as class bugs go, there's a few talents that aren't guaranteed to work properly (cut to the chase comes to mind with about a 2% rate of failing when envenom hits) and other spells that were just recently fixed (Seal of vengeance and Seal of corruption, frostfire bolt, etc.)
Saying this is a game without bugs running rampant among the classes is like saying all other Blizzard games don't have cheat codes/bugs that are still there to this date. Expecting a bug-free game from Blizzard, however, is even worse. I'm somewhat happy with the game they have now, they're doing the best with what they have. except for some things; you have to keep in mind many of their staff has moved on to other things, including their next expansion and MMO.
The age of WOW will eventualy catch up to it. I am not sure if this will happen now or not but it is eventualy going to happen. This patch will not save the game. We all die sometime. I don't think there is any one game that will take it's place. i think it will be a collection of games that will slowly bleed WOW of it's playerbase. This patch will chase off ALOT of long time players who have done the GEAR GRIND too many times for too many expansions.
WOW was King of the MMO. Now it is an Aged king, with no son to pass the throne to. The fight between the Lesser MMO's is on.

Where did you get the figure of 12 million from .Blizzard used to release subscription numbers every three months but they have not released any since december 2008 . If it was good news you can be certain they d be boasting about it all over the internet yet they are strangely silent . ( and the situation in China has been resolved now ) .
Blizzard is like Microsoft, trying to crush the competition when they already have a significant majority of the market share. It is almost rude, to destroy the weak competition. No one can touch WoW. Other games will, and are now, gradually taking players, but the only thing that can destroy WoW will be Blizzard. With the gear grind, it is almost like they are trying, because even the most hardcore can only do that for so long before it become a chore.
But no, this patch has nothing to do with all of that. Cataclysm, on the other hand, will be released at a very strategic time and will be used to destroy the competition.

Nah, TBC arena was far better, I don't really care about statistics, I played a shaman just fine through the QQ waves about them being a very bad healer and got 2100+ in every BC season bar Season 2, when I had some problems irl.
But hey, if you consider this just my opinion, check that 143 pages thread on Arena Junkies made by Gladiator players about how BC was better(and no, they weren't just the so called FOTM classes).
Oh and I don't think you have any idea how overpowered ARP is for warriors.

I bet you don't play wow.
But anyways alot of people on my server have been complaining about the lag. I didn't notice it since I was only looking to see if a friend was online.

Little question i have, as i've seen people saying this lately, the fact that blizzard does things to hurt the competition and i really gotta ask...
Why should blizzard help the competition in anyway?

another copy pasted crap. In my opinion this doesnt hurt the competition in any way, on the contrary, i know some guilds that are sick of the same rehashed content and decided to give a shot at Aion also because of this patch

Blizzard never does anything buggy or untested. Their game is boring to me, but it is nearly flawless. They never rush anything, and they never leave anything unfinished. Just ignore these people. They want to spout negativity all day long.

So basically, they have pushed patch 3.2.2 out as we speak, and it is slowly downloading after a week full of trojans on the official website. An obvious attempt to cripple games that have recently released, at a time when they have yet to even fix the content they have released (heroic toc bugs, brewfest.) I'll be personally paying atttention to see how this pans out, specifically how bugged they make Ony and the class changes they have pushed live without adequate testing. In other words, patch 3.2.2 is now live, 2 months before the original projected date..2 months of live testing of an unfinished patch. Enjoy! Oh..and just so ya all know, I play the game every day, though sometimes it seems like more of habit than something I do for fun ^^
1st line says your a Troll. The patch downloaded in under 5 mins, and the WoW site does not have Trojans. Learn to internet and don't click links you think are suspect.
The only issue with this patch is the Lag is brought but i guess that's a IT issue.
All MMO's have grinds. If you don't like to Grind then MMO's are not for you.
Proof of said trojans can be found on their official forums.
And read the original post date and time; its from before the patch was posted on their official website. I sir, am not the troll, you however...
Oh and Dub, bugs are there, one just need to take off their rose-tinted (or in the case of this week, Beer) goggles to see them. Heck there's a quest in Howling Fjord that hasn't worked since the launch of wrath. Just look at their official forums, or the bug forums, and you can easily find them if you search. Or were you being sarcastic, which doesn't translate well to type?

Here's 3 random bugs that make encounters, quests, and/or items useless or unattainable... and I found all 3 in MINUTES of looking.
