    You should try Ultima Online.  If you've never played it it's extremely fun.  Totally different from the things you mentioned that you played.

    Hey, fireball! 1997 called! They want their post back! :p

    Actually, he's totally right; UO is an amazing game, if a bit dated on the graphics side. Everybody should try it! But, if the engine gets to you and you want something newer, some populated games that have come out recently are Aion, Fallen Earth, and Champions Online.

    But seriously, what genre do you want? That will help more.

    UO has always been my bastion when I get sick of the modern style.  And the new beta client is sexy :)

    well Genre really doesnt matter like ugh how can i say this im a all around mmo type of guy as long as it has the whole team base leveling weapouns or class or w/e needed to do in a rpg ish way for example i liked EVE online it was cool for the mean while but wasnt the sticker on me like wow was for awhile now i always use to stop wow for a bit play some gay for a tiny bit that i thought was good but in the end there were flaws to me in certaint catergorys war hammer for example was to stuck on pvp and the graphics and lag and all the bugs in the game got to me i really dont care MUCH about graphics but if there that bad that i get a head ache i usually just quit the game cause of that issue.

    Edit: Alright so im looking at Daoc looks intresting nice pvp system based game i see im just wondering on the fact do people still play it?

    Daoc was a sorta hidden gem.  I'd consider going back if I knew there was still a strong player base.  Making it ftp wouldn't hurt my consideration hehe

     I'd recommend Freerealms;

    heres my profile;

    http://www.freerealms.com/character/profile.action#character/5427547016341415249

    Its browserbased so you won't have a huge install and can be playing within minutes.  The graphics look alot like WOW and the quests are quite easy.  Theres combat and non combat jobs (classes).  Its free to play except you must become a member to gain access to some of the jobs like archer, warrior and wizard.  The max level is currently 20 and theres plenty of dungeons (instanced) to explore.  You can change your job anytime, except once you're inside a dungeon.  Dungeons also scale to your level so its quite possible to complete 3 dot dungeons on low level characters I know I have.  Dungeons are scaled 1-3 dots to indicate difficulty

    Some content is closed to people unless they become members and this is usually stuff that rewards you decent items.  Membership costs 5 bucks a month.  Even though its technically free to play I ended up spending probably close to 30-40 bucks a month buying station cash and getting all my characters nice armor and glowy effect weapons.

    The game is relatively easy so it won't take long to max out your characters.  Some of the combat classes you can play at the start are Brawler & you can become a Ninja.  The non combat classes include chef, blacksmith, miner, postman, adventurer, demolition derby driver and kart racer.  Kart racing can be quite fun as its basically a car racing game within the game.  You can mod your car and buy upgrades.

    Theres also a Station Store where you can buy unique weapons & items.  These usually include glowy effects and better stats then what you could buy in game or obtain from quests & drops.  Basically for 5 bucks you could buy a sword thats better then anything you could obtain and use it from level 1 up...

    I liked it because it was easy to use, you can teleport instantly anywhere, and I could log in play for a short while and then leave.  Unlike WOW which required extensive time to do anything.
