Well, I had been reading the L4D reviews over the weekend and almost picked it up for $30. Glad I waited two days.
I'm honestly not into survival horror, but the gameplay videos, the teletubbies mod (die!) and the consistent high reviews for cooperative play made me go ahead and pull the trigger. For $15, even if it isn't bad I am not out much.

Funny that MMOs have gotten so unappealing to me that a shooter way outside my normal genre is a far better bet. Looking forward to DA:O... possibly risen. But hey, let's just get back to the basics of blowing somebody's head off.

risen is a nice game..not oblivion good but nice really similar to gothic 3
Yeah, I've been seeing some stuff finally show up about it - especially its ties to Gothic. The video with the Nightwish song has some in-game footage (vs. the gameplay trailer which has none
) and it looks nice. I'll hold off for a few initial reviews before jumping on that. I've got a few other RPGs I need to finish (the Witcher, heck even NWN2...).
DA:O on the other hand is probably one I'll pre-order, and I haven't pre-ordered anything in almost 5 years.

Risen is delayed in NA (360 version) so I have to wait until January 2010.
It's made by the same guys that made Gothic series, it also uses gothic 3 engine.
I can't wait to play that!!!

Well, I just played my first area with 3 other humans. Pretty fun. I appreciate how there is an actual requirement to ration health kits.
