     Nope, no way to try the game free at the moment.

    Then there must be one planned in the near future as I tried to register at the website and there was a spot where it wanted a "CD-Key/Buddy Key".

    The only way to get a buddy key to try it for 15 days is if someone bought a box copy. I to am on the lookout for one as I didnt get a box copy my friends wanting to jump ship from warhammer possible to this he's an mmo vet and has interest in the game.

    Frankly this game could be awesome but I'd rather "trial" it before dropping $50 on it.

    I agree. I would love to get a buddy key for this game. I want to try it out first. I am done buying every new mmo that comes out to try it.

    I heard that.  I played Vanguard for the first 13 months of its release since I had bothered to buy the game =)
