I'd just like to add that it was your positive opinion of the game that inspired me to try it, Mike. And I haven't been let down. The FE dev team are devoted and talented. The overall production quality of the game--I like the graphics and animations--yeah, jumping does look dorky--are very high.
Mostly playing a melee/crafter, called Scooma. Thought it would be the easiest way to go whilst learning the game. Have got to level 23 and he's turning into a bit of a craft-bot at the moment whilst I level a rifle user.

I got two chars I use, Nuka, my lvl 13 vista rifleman, and Apache, my melee crafter. i'm just taking my time with the game and soaking up all the goodness. Really fun game once you become accustomed to the way things work.
Well, I'd started out with what I'd planned as more of a combat-oriented guy (yeah, I know), but then I realized I liked playing my crafting alt so much more, I think I'm going to go with just her for a while.
Her name is Roxy Diesel. As of now, Level 11. Crafter and Pistoleer.
Old habits die hard for me...Still going by the name Sinhealer,Level 13 pistol/crafter.
If someone had came up to me in 1980 when I was on my Atari 2600 and said we will be playing games with thousands of people at the same time.I guess my response would have been,"but I only have 2 joysticks"

and found some realy funny, like they guy cloning his wife or the sad sob who got infected by one of the Finchers.
Need somoone to craft me a Sportsman X bow btw.

I thought about trying this game, but all the screenshots and videos Ive seen shows characters looking like hobos or sand people from starwars. What kind of options are there for characters to look somewhat cool? not cool in a huge glowing shoulders armour way, but cool in a mad max way? this might sound superficial, and I dont doubt the quality of the game, but I get really attached to my character and I prefer looking good over looking bad.
And sorry about being off-topic, but the thread looked so nice and friendly...
If you stand VERY still, and close your eyes, after a minute you can actually FEEL the universe revolving around PvP.
I thought about trying this game, but all the screenshots and videos Ive seen shows characters looking like hobos or sand people from starwars. What kind of options are there for characters to look somewhat cool? not cool in a huge glowing shoulders armour way, but cool in a mad max way? this might sound superficial, and I dont doubt the quality of the game, but I get really attached to my character and I prefer looking good over looking bad. Lowbies look like hobo's. Basically you are scavenging for armour and equipment. The higher level people I have seen have that Mad Max look.

That made me chuckle. ^^ Well, if it helps you, you can get a top hat very early on. Even though you'll then look like a hobo who found a top hat. :P Now, you start as a lowly clone who doesn't know much, doesn't have much, and if you are into crafting, you will also sift through trash, junk, refuse and corpses in the hopes of finding something useful. No matter you look that bad. Today I finished a new armor for my char (forgot the name, called something like "civilian somethingsomething armor" for armor use 75 or whatnot), and it already looks like it is in use since a decade, with the stuffing coming out here and there. But I like that somehow. At least the helmet I made looks like new.
I guess on higher levels you will find stuff that looks a bit more powerful, but maybe not. I don't know and I want to find that out by myself.
Can just speak for myself, but I like the look. ^^
