I'm very tempted to give it a go but I'm having huge trouble getting more detailed information about it. If you could answer these questions it may help me make a decision - Is it really an MMO? How will we be interacting with console players? Is there a subscription fee or cash shop?

It's not a mmo, so no subscription fees or cash shop.
Can't wait for DA:O, mainly because it's gonna be the first REAL RPG in a long time if not in this gen completely, not all these Action RPG excuses we've been seeing lately. No matter how you look at it, NWN's or BG's successor, it's bound to be good if you liked those.
Civilized men are more discourteous than savages because they know they can be impolite without having their skulls split, as a general thing.
Dragon Age Origins by Bioware is being released tomorrow. Anyone buying this game? Wondered what everyone's thoughts on the game were.
Yep. I'm hoping to get a boxed version Tuesday or Wed., but if my local gamestop doesn't have it(I doubt they do they never have new releases on the day or day after) I will buy it from d2d.
i cant wait for it i preordered the digital delux awhile back from impulse im hopin it doesnt take long to download it tho sucks gota wait till 10am pst i was also wanting to get borderlands but after getting demons souls I could only afford 1 for this month so maybe around christmas i can get that aswell heard alota good things about both games, these should hold me over till star trek online releases then then ill have another mmo to play with my friends other than wow
I think Dragon Age Origins will be really Rad, and certainly I will purchase and play it at some stage. However, I am definitely researching the best game-play option for it. Ideally, I would like to play it on PS3, but if there is anything significantly better about the PC version it may be the way I go to game this one. I guess I just have to check the net and then pick my path.

I'm guessing there will be a mod-community for the game, which is more than enough reason to go with the PC version. I guess it really all comes down to specs and personal preference, however.

Quite a few people are getting the game early. Seen people streaming it. Apparently the 360 version was leaked a few days ago, and last night the pc version was leaked.
Baldurs Gate 1 and 2 is my all time favorite game, the story/plot where amazing and very immersive when i was playing, thats how games are supposed to be unlike 99% of games released today thats just hollow and honestly boring. Hopefully Dragon Age can rekindle my RPG love.
I'm waiting for Assassin's Creed 2. But I'll buy Dragon Age after it's been out for a while and the reviews (probably) all scream, "Excellent!", "Spectacular!", "I Need To Wipe Off My Monitor After Playing Dragon Age!", etc.
I've played it for 5 hours and forgot all about time. Last time that happened was... well, years ago, for me. I'm not much of a gamer anymore. But this game, it's amazing.

Yup, preordered, picking it up tomorrow.
Played the heck out of Oblivion so it's time for something different.
I also downloaded the character generator. I can't say I'm in love with the avatars but they seem ok.

If you could answer these questions it may help me make a decision -
Is it really an MMO?
How will we be interacting with console players?
Is there a subscription fee or cash shop?

It's not an mmo and there is no multi-player.

I may still get it, I'll certainly try before I buy however.
The information I have seen about it so far is very positive.
Thanks for answering.

The Best New Sandbox Game Out There.
probably not, stuck in borderlands hehe.

I would if I didn't buy borderlands a few days ago. I'll probably get it in a month.
I haven't kept up with the game much, but from what i've seen it looks just like another NWN2 with a different setting and flashy animations.
So what's the appeal?
Yet you still post and try to call it a rehashed NWN2?
It was my intention to buy it on release, but I heard through the grapevine that my Sister is getting it for me for Christmas...
Got both Borderlands and Dragon Age. I just hit lvl 30 with my Hunter (Gunslinger mod) in Borderlands and cant wait for tomorrow to play DAO.
MMOs Played: I can no longer list them all in the 500 character limit.
Pre-purchased and pre-loaded on Steam. There go my grades...
Yet you still post and try to call it a rehashed NWN2?
yep
so why don't you try and help explain why it isn't?
Reading up and it still sounds like another nwn, hopefully less buggy.

No no no, rehash of Bauldur's gate 2 in an original universe. Hurray!

I definetly have to go pick it up. It looks like its going to be a great game.
