Real life brings repetition and pointlessness too. The only thing real life offers is Great graphics. Its kinda expensive too and way to dependent on the cash shop. Totally pay to win as well. No thank you. Ill stick to my games.

    Probably SWTOR.

Always been a Star Wars fan, loved KOTOR, so I have very high hopes for SWTOR.

I've been playing for two years and still have a lot to learn.

I've even gotten into the lore, read all 270+ eve chronicles have a RP alt and bought and read the Eve novel.

Im getting into it more and more and CCP seems to be expanding the universe each year.

Just out of pure curiosity; how many hours per week do you invest in EVE to feel it worth while playing. Since I like the game the way you, though nowere near to know it and its lore so well, I would really like to get an answer. I need a life outside gaming, and therefore would like to know how you match RL and EVE, to pinpoint my question.

The demographic of Eve Online is a fascinating one, a few years ago they said: "the average age is about 27 years old. 95% of the users are male and 5% women. Most of them have an education and some kind of a degree. Their average EVE playtime per week is 17 hours.".  So less than 2 and a half hours a day is normal. Guys I have known who played it seemed much more casual in the amount of time they played per week relative to  many other games.

Since the chances of anyone putting out a truly amazing, unique and entertaining game is somewhere between slim and none, probably won't be playing any MMO at all.  Of all the ones I've tried out, all of them bore me within a relatively short amount of time.

Played: UO, EQ, WoW, DDO, SWG, AO, CoH, EvE, TR, AoC, GW, GA, Aion, Allods, lots more
Relatively Recently (Re)Played: HL2 (all), Halo (PC, all), Batman:AA; AC, ME, BS, DA, FO3, DS, Doom (all), LFD1&2, KOTOR, Portal 1&2, Blink, Elder Scrolls (all), lots more
    Now Playing: None
    Hope: None

I have several games I am interested in right now, just a matter of waiting to see which ones will not be horrid at launch. The games are The Secret World, Star Wars: TOR, Blade and Soul, Star Trek Online, and Final Fantasy IVX. If I had to pick a favorite out of that list right now though I would have to say The Secret World, because I like the direction they are going with the game. Just wish I knew more and could see some videos of the combat systems in action.

CCP's World of Darkness. This is assuming their orignal guesstimate of 2010 release holds true. I doubt it will, but really it is the only game I can see shaking things up and getting people to have fun that's on the horizon. I mean, who wouldn't play a vampire MMO especially if it holds up to EVE quality(minus the whole cesspool thing). = )

At the rate its going ( or not ) Stargate worlds would be nice to play in the next 2 years :)

At this point I have my eye on a few MMOs,

TERA - im hoping to be the successor of L2 if it is then I shall be playing that

MO - it seems to be getting along nicely now but we wil see how they manage it in the future, I will give it another look around release time.

Secret World - interested in this one for the change of scenery, really curious about gameplay and how much of the MMO element its actually in game.

Last but not least Blizzard next MMO whatever thats going to be, with their history of polished games and their intentions of making something out of a complete new IP might be fun (or not).

Anarchy Online - Been playing 7 years, haven't gotten tired of it yet.

    Planetside 2 - I can wish.

The Secret World - Very promising as long as media and crowd hype expect a funcom AO/AOC launch.  People need to realize FC makes awesome games, just they always have bad starts."

Star Wars: The Old Republic - This game is just too much fun :)

Probably SWToR and LotRO both.  Might be convinced to get a lifetime LotRO membership at that point.

Maybe DC Online if I have a console.  And it doesn't suck.

As an old pnp roleplayer i would love to try this game. The thing is, does it exist at all? Really, i have given up on this game. 2010 is just a couple of months away and ive yet to see anything concrete.

Edit; Also, im afraid of what the comunity will be like if this game ever does come out. We didnt have emos back in the 1990s.

    Just to make things clear...
I speak for myself and no one else, unless i state otherwise mine is just an opinion. A fact is something that can be independently verified, you may challenge such but with proof. You have every right to disagree with me through sound argument, i believe in constructive debate, but baseless aggression will warrant an unkind response.

Mortal Online. After it is released, patched and fixed it will be the most fitting game to me.

It is a question of fangs.

  • KalvasflammKalvasflamm Member Posts: 48

Easy one: Ultima Online. Either OSI or Freeshard.

As always, I will try a lot of other MMOs during the next 2 years... and as always I will return to UO after a few weeks, because I found out that the new MMO sucks.

    I picked "other" as well.

Vault-Tec analysts have concluded that the odds of worldwide nuclear armaggeddon this decade are 17,143,762... to 1.

Eh, I'll take emos over elitist stat junkies any day.

I'll most-likely be playing Guild Wars 2, Eve Online(if Incarna is released), & Dust 514. I'd also like to try the WoD MMO but I doubt it'll be out that soon.
