Beta preview from an Vetern MMO'er
Been playing Alganon for a bit now, i do have to say i liked it from teh get go. sure it may look like wow, but it has some features to it that look better. Water is more realistic and the terrian is very nice compared to wow. i keep telling people the games is like as if Warhammer Online and WoW had a baby. lol. Tho still in beta there are a few bugs...player disappears for 1 sec when u put on new armor....etc. Nothing big atm like constant crashes.
game play, so far its easy to kill things. i think they'll have to upgrade the mob damage some. some animations need touching up, like jumping. Seems like you can jump a mile on that game.
sounds and voice overs are cool. cant complain there.
graphics are nice. i like them,even tho it reminds you of wow and a bit of warhammer.
Over all i like this game and will play it. The devs seem like they listen to the community and are polishing the game up nice. ive heard of new races / classes once these ones are finished. plus PvP coming soon as well. hopefully it'll be like DAOC's. I think if they have these graphics and the pve w/ DAOC type Pvp w/ ranks, a continent to pvp on this game will be a big success. I like how this company is small and are doing things slowly and right and have no worries about a large company breathing down there necks to release half-done crap. i think this game will go along ways.
1 feature i like is the studying feature, u can study weapons,magic,etc while you xp/craft or even offline. so casuals can keep up w/ the hardcore gamers....the game has many cool features you'll have to explore for yourselves.
So in short, i give this game a 8.5 out of 10 while in Beta. i can honestly say i only see the score going up for this game unless they make poor decisions on the upcoming PvP part of the game.

So is the new Alganon public relations method to have their employees create profiles on several mmo sites and try to pump up the game?
Its like WoW and Warhammer Online had a baby? Throw this regurgitated piece of crap down the well and call it a day.

Downloaded this game twice.
First time, I couldn't even get into the game "Connecting to World Server" forever. I scoured forums, read posts, did everything they said to do... No success.
They released a few patches and claimed to fix that bug. So I downloaded the game again, patched.
"Connecting to World Server" forever, still.
I would like the game to be pushed back another 3-5 months so the developers can add End Game, and PvP. (Also New Classes and Races to play. Better Animations)
A Veteran MMO'er I'm not, but I've been beta testing Alganon for several weeks now and it's a really fun game. The graphics and landscape are very cool, game play is smooth, the UI is very intuitive and overall it's an engaging game.
I've especially enjoyed the pace of game play once my Asharr Human Soldier reached level 7+ and I've accumulated some decent armor & weapons and really started kicking some @ss.

Lol i doubt they would do something like this but i have to agree, anything positive ive seen posted on any forums is from first time posters mainly.
Cool features or not; when I logged into the beta I felt like I resubbed for WoW. When I soon got a kill X wolves quest I logged out. I could have continued beta testing, but I would have needed to be paid for later having to gouge my eyes out with a spoon.
The fact the game has anything offline that plays it self,tells me i want the game to die and quickly.
I cannot stand any resemblance between casual and a game that plays itself.
That is like buying a car,then telling people you built it.Or buying an already power leveled account and telling people it is your player lol.
If you are going to allow one excuse then why not allow all of them?I want maximum game currency and the best gear because i haven't the time to get it.I should be able to logoff for 2 months come back and my player is fully equipped,tons of cash and maximum level.Why not? I have an excuse,I have to have an operation that won't allow me to play for 2 months.
or maybe i just lost both my arms in a lawnmower,so i can only play casually like with my feet on the keyboard,but my legs cramp up ,so i can only play 2 minutes a day.
I am sure people can make a million bs excuses ,Oh ya ,my wife just had a new child and i want to spend time with it ,not on the game,so please can i have the best player in the game,i promise to play 5 minutes next month,i can only play casually now LMAO..pfft".I have a life you know ! I don't want to play any of the game",i want it to craft itself,level itself,Auction House itself,PVP itself[bot],farm itself[bot],i can only play casually ,i only have time to use the character screen so please make a casual game for me.
Every time i see someone spew out the word casual,i know something stupid is about to follow,it really irks me in a bad way,like someone is trying to insult mine or anyone else intelligence.
