The Final Fantasy XI Ultimate Collection is now available on Steam, and is priced at $19.99. The new compilation pack contains the original game and standard 30 days of free game time, all four expansions released for FFXI to date (Rise of the Zilart, Chains of Promathia, Treasures of Aht Urhgan, Wings of the Goddess) as well as all three add-on scenarios released for the game this year (A Crystalline Prophecy, A Moogle Kupo d'Etat, A Shantotto Ascension).

I never played the Final Fantasy MMO. Honestly, for this price? $19.99 for the core game, 30days free, 4 expansion and 3 modules? FOR 19.99?!? I suspect many are going to take advantage of this offer and check out FF. I know I will!! I never woulda heard about it save for MMORPG! THANKS MIKEB!!!

yep and with the new level sync system you can actully level faster but it kinda hurts you if you stay in the dunes the whole time on the harder mobs cause you wont know what to do but doesnt matter : ). it def a good deal

Bah, I'm in the EU and it won't let me buy the US version on Steam for some reason. I actually WANT the US version, as I'm originally from Canada, and that's where all my friends who play are.

All people are on the same servers ... EU NA JP all play together. The EU version just have localization options (and I'm suspecting other odds and ends for EU legality).

Ah thanks, I had a sneaky suspicion about this, but as I haven't really looked into it or played much myself, I wasn't sure.
It threw me off that I was unable to purchase it from steam. I hope they'll open it up for those of us in the EU to purchase as well.
ugh lol I just bought the FF11 Vana diel collection 2008 (all 4 xpac's minus addons) for 15 bucks like 2 months ago, poo..if i would have waited a bit longer i could have gotten the addons >.<. Hell of a deal too for all 4 xpacs AND the 3 addons.

As a former FF online player, here is a major warning to anyone who is thinking about reactiviting thier account.
My billing date was on the 15th of each month, and i stopped playing.
6 months later, I decided to resub to the game on the 13th of the month.
They charged me 14.99 USD, and then 2 days later charged be another 14.99$
I called and said wtf, and they said it doesnt matter if you are 1 day before your billing date, its full price.
At that point this game got retired permantly to the shelf.
I tried to play it even with the level sync but i still couldnt find a damn party in Valkum Dunes LOL. Would love to go back to it and be a Summoner or a Blue Mage but knowing my luck I'll be on the least popular server.
Maybe I should look at the forums of different fan sites and see which servers has the most posts or something. But either way that is deffinatly a good bargain, had no idea there was scenerio's and what not.
