Here is the truth, Like most think of smed "the Devil"  all you people that spend sooo much of your life talking and crying over his evil doing keeps him going, Smed thanks you for his Immortality. Keep up the good work when you are long and dust Smed will live on..

topics that remember the fall of pre-cu are of course attractive grounds for known nge fanbois and trolls like jedimonkeylizard to exercise their activities..

pitty that some people still feed their likes by responding to their provocation and ruin an occasion to remember this important day for pre-cu vets.

trust me people, there are other ways to give them the attention they so crave.

I spent the anniversary rewarding SOE for its treason to its fanbase and the Ranger community. I played another nonSOE MMO which is funded with money that would have easily gone to SWG had they fixed bugs, told the truth and kept the slop overhaul away from the game. I assure you, those who were Rangers have never forgotten the the lie that made their profession an expendable one.

Odd how everyone forgets that part.

The summary of the last four years of swg development has been summarized by so many current swg as "The current game isn't as good as 2003, but things are not as bad as they were in 2005".

Odd how few people understand the impact of that statement.  Four straight years of development cannot even produce a statement of confidence in the game you are subscribed to.  The only way to make current swg look positive is to compare the current game to a point in time when swg is the pinnacle example of what not to do to an mmo in almost every degree.

When soe told the player base they were disposable and their concerns were not important, they moved on.  What is your excuse for not moving on?

I think I know a way SOE could successfully shake money out of all of us one last time on next year's anniversary date.  They could sell commemorative toilet paper with Smed's mug printed on every sheet.  /wipe

Moving on does not require forgetting.

    ↑ This. ↑

Play the game all you like JML...nobody cares what you do. But please don't come in here and tell people to "move on" - that's simply flame baiting and trolling. Either add something constructive or leave.

The significance of this date is obvious.

SOE , thanks for shooting yourself in the foot so badly that you had to even allow Premabanned players like myself to return to view your stupidity.

Thanks a whole hell alot - idiots.

Sorry with a title of "remember, remember..." I expected  to hear the theme song to "Fame"

Oh well guess there is always next time.

So much crap, so little quality.

Seriously, the only people that give a shit about swg these days are the "PRE-CU 4TW" types and the nge fanbois.  Both groups seem to be well represented here.  Theres a lot better things to think about than a horrible game run by a shady company that doesn't give a shit about its customers.

Is a man not entitled to the herp of his derp?

Remember, I live in a world where juggalos and yugioh players are real things.

If i were sober and of a mind to tear you a new one, I would, but, i'm not...

Saying the NGE is better than Pre-CU is just a no no.

Maybe if you were sober, you'd realize he didn't say NGE was better than pre-CU. He said they both had their shitty parts, but the NGE has gotten better than IT was when first rolled out. Hope it didn't hurt much to find you tore yourself a new one without meaning to.

better or worse is beyond the point - thats what the fanboys here fail to realise. (even though the nge is a joke)

i am very happy jedimonkeylizard is enjoying the current state of the nge, but that doesnt take away HOW this dumbed-down version of swg was thrown on the players, nor does it take away all of soe's lies in the process.

and all of us have "gotten over it" fyi jedimonkeylizard. we get on with our lives, play other games and what not, but we remember for old times sakes and so that this most unethical behaviour doesnt go unnoticed or forgotten in time.

Here, here.  And, to echo Fisher's comments a little earlier, moving on certainly does not mean forgetting.  I'm afraid Nov. 15 is going to be a date long remembered in the community of MMO gamers.  It should serve as a reminder of what is likely to happen if a game company decides to completely disregard the interests of their current customers in the hope of obtaining a new, hopefully larger playerbase instead.

Unexpectedly wipe out people's professions, pets, progress, communities, and remove features they just purchased in a new expansion and what do you get?  SWG, an object lesson on how not to manage an MMO.

Half the servers were recently closed down. More than half of the remaining servers need the FCTS since their pops are in the toilet. The NGE maybe perceived as a better game now due to the 'content' bolted onto it, but it has less players now than it did in 2006.

And even if he did, why is that a "no no"? Is he not entitled to that opinion, as misguided as you may find it?

Happy belated anniversary everyone.  I still miss what in my mind was the most immersive and compelling game that I had ever played.  I miss my toons, my friends, my city, and even the Rebs.  LONG LIVE THE EMPIRE!!!
