Darkfall isn't worth playing

with the hacks being very prevelent in Darkfall and the game designers inability to police the server I would not suggest ever purchasing this game.
the GM's will not do anything when you /report a player and will often cuss at you for even insinuating that there are cheaters playing.

These are all lies and you know it. I have been playing since launch and haven't seen a "problem" with hackers. Have there been hacks In DF? Yes. A "prevelent" problem? No, not even close!
OP is trolling, however, hacks were very common @ launch. I'm sure they still exist, although to what extent, I don't know (just like in any game). I'm willing to accept that they're not as commonplace as they once were.

How come in 200 man siege videos there aren't 50 people just flying around casting invincible spells.
Wrong. I've played for well over 2 months and I've seen 1 hack.
Just in case you've come from the past and are not yet aware of your travels.....It is November 30th 2009!!!!!!

A while back they did big ban waves. Hacking really hasn't been a huge problem since.
With 2 posts and an account create today why in the hell do you think anyone is going to take you serious?
I played this game at launch and I seriously still regret paying over £40 for this game. Do not try and say people are not cheating people cheat on everygame and this guy is right Darkfall was riddled when I played with speedhackers. Don't forget you can always log on YouTube there is alot of videos of much worse going on.
Plus most of you "fan bois" who played since the beginning and love it abused every single glitch in the game to get where you are with all your gold and skills.
Yes I'm talking about firing at walls, sitting in lava to level rigor etc.
But I don't blame you I blame AV they failed and they aren't going to recover you know fine well DF is dying already. I played for one month before I said "fuck it this isn't worth my time" and in that time I had made about 30 friends and over half of them where gone before me.
So don't bitch at me calling me a troll I'm saying solid facts about the game and reason why I personally don't like it. kudo's to this guy for giving people some advice unless you have some evidence to prove me wrong and that DF is thriving don't reply you only prove my point.

He is a troll. You aren't. You are just misinformed. Yes the game was terrible, yes you quit. Thats fine, its a lot better now. We don't really care if you play, its just silly watching you all spouting "facts" when you don't even play.
actually DF is doing pretty good population is increasing second expansion is coming on Thursday Dec 3rd (Adding tons of content) and AV has hired more devs and moved to a bigger office, so I'm pretty sure DF is doing fine and I haven't seen a hacker in about 4 months lol. You should really give it another try it's improved a ton since launch and is only improving more now.
well, you can beleive what Av. tells you or you can go to YouTube and watch and see all the hacks in play.
I didnt know there were video's of the hacks till I read above posters reply.
but simple fact is, me and my friends have been using hacks in DF since EU server and still not banned makes me think 2x about why I really wanted to continue playing.
that a coupled with the fact that Av. allowed exploited EU characters onto a new server is beyond me. simply has just ruined the game.
Fair enough I geuss my facts are out of date and it might be better now.
1. Cool, the hacking websites put up some videos of there detectable hacks that get them banned quite quickly after logging in...
2. Bullshit.
3. NA and EU characters are pretty much in line. Its working out pretty good and we are seeing a lot of epic sieges since the transfers.
There's more hacks in WoW than there are in Darkfall.

Feel free to watch the video of how easy the hack works, it was this that made me quit darkfall. I read Tasos post that they were tbanning the "few" hackers that existed daily, that they were upgrading their security to prevent hacking, blah blah blah, but after repeatedly checking the public forums at damn cheaters its pretty easy to deduce that: 1. There were when I played a large number of hackers and 2. very very few of them were getting banned.
Ya, it's been quite established that hacking was a big problem in the not so distant past. Key word "past". Personally I didn't sub to the game after launch (and early on) due to this and couple of other things. Sorry you did, that sucks.
I play the game now, and hacking is not even close to an issue like it was before. I've only even seen 1 hack period.

1. WoW has alot more players / potentiol coders.
2. WoW has been around for 5 years.
3. WoW has Warden to detect these however it does fail epicly take Glider for example...
4. Most cheaters who get caught are idiots who show off
5. This is just pointing out the obvious and I agree there is most likely more hacks for WoW.
I purchased Darkfall a week ago Saturday and have seen no one doing anything I would consider hacking or even exploiting. Quite simply, Darkfall is the best game you're not playing!

Just pointing that out we all know there is still people hacking but what matters is that AV are doing something about it. When I played they released a new patch every few days fixing minor things rather than focusing on the big picture which was ruining the game for many players including my self.
