Am i banned ?

in World of Warcraft

Ok, I havn't played wow for 2 years but today i decided to resubb. The problem is that I've forgotten my password and when i try to use the retrive thing on wow-europe the only message I get is  "You cannot reset the password for this account because it is bound to a Blizzard Account" WTH! Am i banned or whats going on ?

    If I remember correctly they redid the Wow account system to a battle.net account. That might be what is happening.

    I thought so too but when i try with my brother's account i don't get the same message :/

    But i cant merge my wow account to my batlenet account because i dont have the wow account's pw

    I has a similar problem when I tried to resub. Had to call up Customer Support and found that my account was hacked and branded a RMT. So they cleared it up and I had to wait about 4 days to get back on (of course that was just enough time to destroy my itch to play again). Funny thing is all my equipment and gold was still on my characters all they did was create new level 1 characters and a bunch of servers. I guess to just shout for gold farms. Call Customer Service for a better answer.

    I had the same problem.

    Have to get a Battle Net account upgrade, also it is likely your Account got closed like mine did. Some how it was hacked after I left. So go to account service to reactivate it

    Your solution may be a simple as merging the account with a battlenet account.

    You cannot log in with your old information, because non-battlenet accounts cannot log into the game or website anymore., but that doesn't mean you were hacked or the account frozen.  Once you go through the battlenet merging process it should prompt you for your old account name and password and associate your old account with the new battlenet account information.  Then you should be able to access your old account once you log into with the new battlenet credentials.

     

     If that doesn't work, then call customer service.
