small probs ingame

in Face of Mankind

I got ingame fine but there doesnt seem tobe a tutorial to explain the keys etc. And i managed to lock the camera so that the normal curser apears and then u can click on the other boxs(inventoy etc) but the button it says to unlock camera doesnt do that and i cant get back to moveing my character around. Anyone else getting similiar probs?

    First taste of the game - got in ok following the inevitable system crashes on first day open beta. Then I reached the apartment. As far as I can tell, the only form of tutorial available is listed in the emails on the comm device. Unfortunately I didn't get to read them because the third button i hit deleted them all without even a 'are you sure?' option.

    Not a good start.

    Working out how things work is vaguely intuitive.

    I've seen worse starts to open beta.. but then again, I've seen better. The game fanboys will sing its praises regardless, but for me as a first taster, am not so sure. Give it a week n see if it gets better eh?

    You are all further along than I can get right now. Currently I can get to the character creation. Choose a faction. Create my avatar, Once I am on the final screen where I can "add a description" it just loops itself. Clicking finish does nothing but restart the music for me. I can't finalise my character creation.

Being a network engineer you feel that way about anything Microsoft puts out."

    ty:) now how do i get weps and missions lol coz i dont see where it explains it on the web site and it def dont explain it ingame?

    It looks OK at first look, I'm fairly stable on it (which is a first for any mmorpg on my crap system) apart from the npcs vanishing when I get near them. None of the terminals seem to work for me though which is a bugger as I locked myself out of my apartment straight away (is this a bug or just me, the security terms work but everything else just has the voice over and nothing happens) ::::06::


    A tutorial would be nice and some kind of navigation system as everyone seems to be wandering around in circles not knowing what to do (including me). My biggest reaction though is that the game world must be enormous because there aren't many people around (unless they are all vanishing on me like the npcs)

    It looks quite promising, but needs some kind of in-game explanation as to what's going on before it can really be judged.

    I got in too, to fix that character creation problem try remaking the character again that worked for me. I did get a gun and some bullets (through the gunfire of goofy players in the starting area) but now where do we get missions? lol, and to whoever wanted to know how to get a gun you go to the market area and buy a zsomething 5 with the 10k they give you at start, and that uses 9mm bullets.

    Im figuring out production fairly well, but I need to get some damn carbon and then I will start making some guns.

    I cant find a gun for under 20000. I found some place called Club 69, then the server went down -_-. I tihnk its a strip club ::::28::

    its probably lag lol, so try it and run around the area for however long. And about the overpriced gun, just try the begginer area. There Should be a gun for 8k

    I got my gun and ammo from a higher ranking person.

    I was able to login, walk around and take in the sites.  Then I received a whack of socket errors and now I can't log back in hehe, ah well.  It looks like it has a lot of promise but man, this is almost as bad as the AO launch hehe :)
