lots of loot!!

ok so i currently have a thread on here about crafting mmos.  and while it's helping me a lot, some of the games aren't exactly what i am looking for.i was looking for a game with extensive crafting, because i love, love, love farming mats from mobs and the open world, and then turning them into awesome gear either i need or someone else needs. but i neglected to mention that i also love grinding for gear, not just mats.  so i guess where i'm going with this topic is 'i'm looking for a game in which i can solo a good chunk of the game, and while grinding mobs and running instances, i can gain epic amounts of loot, in which i can sell to npc's or other players and make a good profit and buy other high end stuff.' but this has to be a free to play mmo. i don't care if there is a cash shop either.  i just love being able to loot things. the game can be isometric, 3rd person, first person, side scrolling, i don't care. any suggestions would be great. thanks

I heard a few people saying good things about Grand Fantasia's crafting system, but I dont know anything about the looting in that game. It is free, so at least there's that.

Interested as well. From what I've seen so far, storage space is at a premium in most F2P MMOs, so it's hard to find one that has mechanics encouraging or supporting mass gathering of items or any kind of extensive/unique crafting.

Ya Grand Fantasia offers a sprite crafting system which as far as a i no is unique to this game. There is some farming of mats but it comes by the war of instance farming or boss killing. Also you can farm rep quests at later lvls i believe for mats. I have been playing this game for a weekish and im enjoying its crafting system although it takes some getting used to.

If your going to ban the trolls please for our sake ban the Fan Boys too.

There is a big problem with that statement.  If you think any game is just going to hand you lots of loot that is worth a lot to other players, that game will be completely broken.  You need to understand economics better.  A lot of economic planning must go in to a game or it will fail.  Any game will allow you to earn money.  No decent game will let you earn above-average money without a very high amount of luck, time invested, skill, or a comination of the three.  If everyone could earn lots of money as easily as you seem to want, the money itself would be lowered in its value due to everyone having a lot of it.  If you don't get my point by now, take an economics class.

Neo steam at least in the begining maps had some small bosses that you could farm (solo) and 90% of the times dropped great gears for all classes I spent many hours on them to get a good set for my class and got my bag full of greens and such :P

There's a big problem with THIS statement. i never said epic amounts of loot in a few minutes or hours. in fact i never specified a time limit.  this could have meant 20 minutes or a week.  plus, i never said anything about making above-normal amounts of gold.  i just said i wanted to find loot and make gold. and crafting the said items into better items for gold would be even better. the reason i posted this topic to begin with is because i think RPGs without a character equipping interface and loot to find and sell, is a stupid idea.  why would i want to kill thousands of mobs for plain old exp? i wouldn't.  that said, i don't play mmo's solely to interact with people, which means i also like finding my own gear.  I just want to find a good, fun mmo with looting, crafting, a decent economy and lag free pvp with a purpose.

If you're looking for a game where you get tons of loot almost Diablo style where you can break items down into their basic elements to assist you in creating all new items, look no further then the F2P mmo "Requiem". I have more about this game and even links to some HD video footage of it all on this thread:  www.mmorpg.com/discussion2.cfm/thread/264151/Requiem-Easily-one-of-the-top-10-mmos-ever-made-and-it-can-be-played-totally-FREE.html
