Borderlands = worthless

I sooo wasted $50 on this.  I can't believe how shallow this game is once you hit the level cap.  Did they really expect a small content pack ($10) was going to fix this?

Also, I  have a complex wireless router setup for the household I live at... so port forwarding to create servers is a nightmare!

This game really should have been a pure single player game or have had a dramatically different engine.

I had fun playing the game. Lasted me a bit, worth the money in my opnion. Can't please everyone I guess.

I been had so many times taking a chance on games; I could vacation in Vegas with the money I have wasted on bad games. I don't buy games now till I have read a bunch of information on them, and they have been out for a while . For example, I am really interested in the Star Trek game, but after "The Great Age Of Conan Fiasco Of 08'", I let other players do the dirty work before I spend my money.

I sing the songs that make the young girls cry.

You maxed out and are surprised that their is no more content in a non-MMO game?

Newsflash, games end when you beat them!

You hit level cap didn't you?  Most games these days provide an average of something like 9-12 hours of content and that is it.  These aren't MMO's with endless grinds.

The game is really fun to play but I agree, the port forwarding its utterly stupid.

Borderlands is well worth the money IMO.  Better value than most games out at the moment.

I couldn't even make it passed level 10 before I was utterly bored. It felt like a bad F2P MMO without other people. Anyone ever play Huxley? Just like that.

I couldn't enjoy myself playing it solo for very long.  The real fun came when I played with two real life friends, until one of them had a complete talent/profession wipe due to that autosave bug that took them FOREVER to fix.  When they finally did patch in a fix for PC gamers, not a week later the first DLC was released.  I hung up my Borderlands copy after that point, and I really enjoyed the game at the start.

On a side note, not throwing out any spoilers but did anyone else find the "storyline" utterly lacking, or at the very least the ending?  It seemed to only give a minor hint and explained nothing.  If they plan on "resolving" the storyline through DLC with the way the bugs have been handled, that's laughable.

I don't mind DLC as it adds more content to a normally "finished" game, but their newest one barely adds anything from what I've read.  And it's still full price.  /sigh.

I remember when it could take a week minimum to "beat" a good singleplayer game.

Borderlands provided me with many hours of fun SOLO. I have got 3 chars to cap, and still play them now and again just for new guns or too complete the achievements.

Sure solo means that i`m just satifying myself, but that`s what is fun for me!

Add to that the extra 15-20 hours that Dr ned added. Well worth the money.

Some people just have different tastes, each to their own!

Played WOW (5 years), AOC, AO, EQ2,AC2, Horizons, Saga of Ryzom, SWG, CO, STO(Beta),ROM, Allods, and many other F2P titles. Asl been in beta for many of the main titles and played countless SP games. I have been gaming for 15+ years!

I've played both Divinity 2 and Dragon Age. Dragon Age is still better in my opinion. Divinity 2 is more hack n slash, both games have good story elements but I just prefer DA's world and overall story. Divinity 2 is a good game though.

anyone remember when Final Fantasy 7 came out?  i thought FF6 was hardcore until i played 7, man oh man, did the story in FF7 keep me playing one time for 2 days straight.  once i finally completed the game, a whole month, everyday playing, materia finding was the best, and trying to chocobo breed.  i really wish they would bring it back, if squarenix already hasnt.  and yes, welcome to america, land of in your face hollywood materialism where mass media rules all and tells you that game sucks becuase it looks like cardboard cut outs, or because the characters look like lego blocks (ff7).  ff8, was fine, until that part where they "just remembered" at the same time, they all came from the same orphanage, and squall was a fag.  do the research on his name, "squall" means "whore", if you dont research it.  the word "squaw" actually comes from algonkin, which means "female", or a way to describe, "thats a female", but not "shes a whore".  in the end though, the word still means female, or feminine variant, thus making the in-game "squall" of ff8, a fag.

I found this game a lot of fun. My brother and I played this for god knows how long and still play it once in awhile. While some people may not find that fun, but it is when you have family and friends who just want to hang out and play a game.

Actually, Squall means a sudden sharp increase in wind.

Final Fantasy character names are often related to nature.

Terra is earth, Cloud is well, a cloud. Squall is what I just explained. Lighting is also obvious.

I liked everything about this game, even picked up ned's and moxxi's dlc.  The only thing that would have been neat if they did instaned player hubs instead of a gamespy lobby, then you can run around and chat with ppl before joining, and plan out a party that are all at the same level.  I've joined so many supposed games that were around my level, and then ended up seeing cap'd players which through off my current quest-line... very annoying at times.

But over all this one is still addicting, and I will agree with most posters, that this is a fun game.

I loved this game and think it was worth every penny, finished first playthrough on every class.

The ending of the story is horrible, but the gameplay is great, especially co-op.

Agree completely.  Going through playthrough 2 with some friends right now, .. I've got a soldier and siren at 50, and working on my berserker, and I just bought the arena pack... I'm quite psyched about it.  It gets really tough.. we just went through the first arena level today.  Great game that borderlands... if you've got RL friends, its worth every penny.

The ending does kinda suck though... I guess we can expect a borderlands 2...

While I never liked Borderlands and never took the chance in buying it...

....even I know not to expect end game content from a game that doesn't fit in the MMORPG catagory.

It is a cool game to play through but once you've played through it and got the juicy plot line in your head it begins to feel like a endless grind just to get levels and high level loot. I play it now and then when some friends are online but for now it mostly sits on the shelf gathering dust.

What are the add-on packs like out of curiosity? (Worth the extra money?)
