The game just got too boring, simple as that.  I do not care what level I got to, if I find myself being bored just logging in, no reason to play anymore, let alone PAY to play.  Doesn't matter what level I reach.

Notice the highlighted part, I agreed with you.  The game bored me to tears as well, was just saying, you'll get a lot of flames having notated that you only reached level 25.  The game is repetative and stale and I, like you, will not pay to play it any more.

I have a life, like work, wife, friends, sports, you know?  Or maybe you do not.  You obviously lack reading comprehension as well, as I only played the game on the weekend and not even that much, like a couple hours.  I also did a lot of crafting, which is time consuming.

The game is boring.  It gets boring grinding quests in the rush to max level/.  I tried to mix it up with crafting, gathering and the trade broker, but it's not enough.

Obviously I am not the only one to feel this way.  Aion has a good population, but it has shrunk significantly from launch, mainly for the same reasons that I stated.  It gets boring quick.

As for calling EvE boring, lol, just shows what a simpleminded person you are.  Stick to themepark MMOs is my advice.

You play 2 hours on the weekends? Your wasting your $15 a month imo. Whats the point of even bothering playing a MMO? Can we assume you didn't find a good legion or have any friends to group with? I thought so...lol

Aion is THE best MMO out right now as far as I'm conserned...and I've played all the big MMOs out right now. Sure it has some flaws but what game doesn't in its early stage? The problem is that folks expect to hit max level within months so they end up with the feeling of grinding because they want to hit level 50 asap. Go back to WoW or LOTRO is my advice...Aion isnt for you.

As for you quiting...who the hell cares! lol You rarely play which means you have little to no knowledge of Aion. Stick with single player games and stop posting BS about games you have no idea about.

You have brought nothing new to the table.

    Haha

'No one else has the same complaints as you'

Your argument was the same in my 'I quit' post, which incidentally has the same complaints as this poster.

'Why did you post this anyway? You brought nothing new to the table'

You said it yourself, we are dissatified with our purchase and wish other people to know this.

    Freedom of speach..bla..bla..bla

I agree with his points and I played Aion for more than 12 hours per day, are you going to tell me I have no knowledge of Aion too?

    LOL, what are you smoking?

It's not a bad game, it has polish and decent combat, but it is plain boring with no real endgame.  Not the worst game and not the best game, just right smack in the middle, plain mediocre and BORING.

It might have made sense to grind toward end-game if there was one worth a damn, but there is not.  So what's the point?  The game gets boring all around pretty quick for many players.

Playing: EvE, Warhammer free unlimited trial, Allods Online
Played: Anarchy Online, WoW, Warhammer, AoC, Ryzom. Aion
Strongly Recommend: Ryzom, EvE, Allods Online

I play Aion and personally I like the game but I agree its not the best thing since sliced bread.  It is good in ways and bad in others, but if I didn thave fun I wouldnt play.  I find Aion like many other MMO's is more fun when you have a good guild and friends to play with.  Would I stay with Aion is SWTOR came out today, hell no.

I was enjoying the game at first but maybe I am just a little burned from the repetitive gameplay through other MMOs.

I will say that Aion has a solid core which can be worked upon to create a top MMO.  However, NCSoft has not shown signs of planning to do so.  It seems that they just want to skip that step and just push out Aion 2.0, which does look very cool, but will take years.

I'm sorry to hear you didn't enjoy Aion, apparently you are not alone in that situation.  I hope that you find a game that you do enjoy to play.  As for your post...I think it's helpful to have the "I quit" threads.  They are just as helpful to people looking at the forums as the "This game is great" threads, in order to see if they may like the game.  Of course the....I quit because the game sucks...doesn't really help, but you gave adequate reasoning why you are quitting, which may be helpful to a person looking into this game.

I only lasted till 19 before I was bored.

It really is a shame.  Everything that is in is very well polished but there isn't anything there beyond an XP treadmill with pretty pictures.  The game is really well done but it lacks any sort of oomph.  Maybe down the road with additions it will become something better but it will take a major change.

    Expansion maybe?

It's gotten to the point where some MMOs have been reduced to little more than success dispensers. Don't think. Don't challenge yourself. Do as little as possible... but still be rewarded for it. Yeah.. *that's* fun.
