You've gotten further then I can, Even though it recognizes my account (account page), all I get is "authentication failed" update: got in to "ERROR: error getting revision info, retry" (infinitum)
if you have to login to get to the patcher you have the wrong client and patcher..

About time there exists a truly "open" beta, haven't seen one of these in a while. Since DF has no trials yet for me to even consider purchasing it, I guess I will try MO (yes I know it's a beta and not a trial, but at least I can check myself the state of the game and get a few weeks to see how the company works).
I'd prefer soft caps over hard caps, but there are some interesting concepts. I wonder if this will be way too focused on PvP or there will be enough entertainment for crafters, explorers, PvE combat, harvesters, etc.

The beauty is that there are 2 versions of 0.12.16.18.... instead of numbering the next version differently they made the new version called 0.12.16.18B
If you have the one without the B you are screwed. I had the same issue. I had to re-download the whole game (again) with the B version and thehn use the multi-step patch fix. you know., where they tell you 'PATCHER WILL CRASH WITH ERROR.. RESTART", around 4 times....
After that it worked... until I overloaded myself by killing an AFK macro harvester who made my weight 360/31.. Now everytime I delete a pile of ore I crash... ROFL

What you fail to realize, is this is not stating that the game is being released. It is the START of the release PHASE. Read what was posted. This is OPEN BETA. AKA NOT RELEASE.
At the end of the open beta will be the gold release. Stop QQing about "omg my 30 days free time" it hasn't started...
I have been playing this game for 2 days now i can say this game is for rampage kiddys with no life at all the one spending the most time in the game rules the game with armor and weapons and can just ride around killing alle other just starting out...
If you like bieng raped by all other from your fist spawn in the game the game is for you.

Yea empty just go away from the starter towns and there is nothing at all i aint gone pay 44 Euro for that game never....
I like the direction the game takes. But the client is also constantly crashing for me, as such I'll wait a few months and then see how it's going.
