How is WAR after Tier 1?

I'm thinking about resubbing and I only have one concern.  I'm concerned about the amount of people in game after you leave tier 1.  I have downloaded the free trial and I have been loving it.  When I first played it last year I was loving it.  It was the most fun I have had in any mmo.  Then school started and I stopped playing as much.

The last time I played, the open world pvp was great.  Every night I was easily able to get into a group and take keeps and keep doing that all night.  There were plenty of both Order and Destruction players most of the time.  The things that I have recently heard about WAR makes me question whether or not there are still enough people playing for me to have the same experience that I had before.

I'd appreciate any info or experiences anyone can give me on this, thanks.  Also, if you could recommend a server on which I should reroll on, that would be great too!

    All tiers on the servers Badlands and Iron rock are active. I have characters on both and have had 0 issues.

    I play gorfang order and iron rock destruct and both are very active.  Was just on gorfang where we had a nice keep battle going on for over an hour till the server exploded

    Tier 4 seems to have quite a few people in it.

    I play on Gorfang and Badlands. Most of the time there are plenty of people.

    I have just re-subbed. I am playing on EU server karak-azgal. Played a bit on my DoK in tier 3 and the improvement from a year ago is amazing. I actually see people in the world now, lots of oRVR going on and people are talking in the channels. I have now rolled a Ugly looking goblin shaman and tier 1 is more of the same. Hopefully Mythic can now run with this new momentum they seem to have and keep improving the game and drawing more and more people back.

    I have active characters in ALL the tiers on the Badlands server, and I am currently playing the game.  I play on the side of Order.  PM me if you want to know any of my characters there, I would be more than happy to show a returning player around.

    Right now, I play two games.  This one and Fallen Earth.  I love WAR, personally, T1 is boring for me because of all the free trial players.  T2 and beyond is actually when the game gets fun and exciting, and you get to play with the serious players.  For people who say the servers are dead, all I can say is - they're wrong.  Get on Badlands ANY time during primetime and ALL 4 tiers are hopping with activity.

    QfT and shared hope, basically. I'm playing on Azgal-EU (on Order side), and resubbed in December after months as well.

    Your experience will be slightly different after T1, imo, since you'll meet the folks with active subscription, and it makes things a bit more 'serious'. Though T4 still has its problems, but the game is not less fun beyond T1 for sure (and for me, at least :) )

    Many people will tell you T1 supposedly is the best tier in the game, in my belief this is pure personal preference as fo rme it is way different, for me War feels the best in T2 & T3, I do not like T1 as much as those 2.

     

    as for activity Gorfang is active on all tiers. I have characters on all 4 tiers and they are active almost all hours of the day(slows down a little bit between 3 am - 7am EST)
