First of all, if what you say is true, then that sucks and I feel bad for you. That's not very fair and there are several ways to fight back.

    A. Personally walk into your county board of Education and ask for an appointment with the supertindent. If they tell you it may be some time before you can get an appointment, say "No problem, one of the school's he is responsible for kicked me out unfairly. Suggest to them that your parents are on the phone right now with all of your local TV and Radio Stations (Media love this type of thing....if what you say is 100% true)

    B. Have your parents contact the media. If you are a troublemaker and have a documented case of causing trouble, they wont even call you back. However, if you are what you say you are (being straight A's and everything) then the Media will be all over this like maggots on roast beef.

    C. Find a home school program to finish your 4 months. Many Non profit places know of people who are licensed to performed homeschool programs. Heck, even your own mom can do it. All you need to do is followed a string of required reading and pass the set of tests before you graduate. My cousin went to college at 16 because she passed all of her tests at the senior level as a Sophmore.

    D. Just take your GED. Get it, pass it, and enroll in college.

Those are just some of the things I would do.

    BTW,

College isn't nessacarily the end all of getting a good career.

I have a Ph.D. in Roman Antiquities and Church Historical Theology from Princeton Seminary and I end up leaving my profession because A. Pay was horrible B. The church has become very "transparent and plastic" but that's a whole other story lol.

My cousin never went to college and he's making 160 grand at Wal Mart as Store Manager.

I am now in Management with GameRush/Blockbuster and making the same amount of money as a Priest plus I'm having the time of my life....and I'm getting better benefits and a better 401K too....and you don't even need a degree for this job.

Either way, I wish you luck and happiness

Thats a good point to bring up about college, its not a necessity. With graduation though, home schooling is easy to do if the superintendent still doesnt do anything about it. Good luck, hope it works out.

Wow that sucks, I too am a senior and I can hardly imagine how much that must suck.  Man, good luck.

You might also want to find out anything about the person who started fight, if he has a background of fights and what not, it could help you out, just a suggestion, good luck!

Events like that can make people realize that today's societies have a weird sense of justice.

Since you repaired some teacher's computer, he/she could back you up if you decide to go to the BoE and plead your cause (Because the "dangerous object" is a tool you used to do these repairs). If they don't wanna hear anything, involve the medias and some eyewitnesses of the fight. It's likely that things would turn out good for you. Even if you need to make a petition so you can get back in, you'll have my signature on the top of the list. Good luck!

One kid I knew was kicked out of his school senior year because he stole pop-tarts from the cafeteria.

Yes, but as a priest, you didn't have to pay taxes! :) How much do priests get paid anyway? (I mean, if you don't mind me asking.. just curious)

More than likely you will have to go to the school board and the superintendent to be allowed back in school. But, having a teacher backing you would help a lot.

oooooooooooooooo yes I did lol. That's a big misconception...sorta like the whole Religion and State 1st Amendment.

Priests are require to pay the same amount of taxes as every other American.

The Church building itself does not as it is a non-profit organization (just as The Red Cross doesn't or United Way, or Salvation Army...but it's employees and leaders are still bound by tax laws)

I was an Anglican Priest. We got about 45,000 plus (if you're lucky....which I was in one church) a parsonage...which is a house with no rent.

But don't let that fool you. When you live in a parsonage, your private life is over because everyone in the church thinks just because the church owns the building that means people can knock on your door at 2 am.

Catholic Priests get paid enough to eat, further their education and to fulfill other projects by their Bishop. They took the vow of poverty...among other things.

Protestant ministers vary. Presbyterian (white collar) gets paid anywhere from 35K to 100K. Then Baptists ...about 30K to 60K, then Assemblies of God ...about 16K to 65K.

It really depends on your level of experience, education, and whether or not you are real (not the fake ones who are in it for the choir boys)

But since I'm Anglican I never got more then 45K. Still paid taxes. Had a 403K (which is similiar to a 401K) and got to wear a pretty black dress with a white lacey smock and a white collar every Sunday Morning. ::::28::

You live in the States... can't you sue'em or something?  And after the whole Columbine shooting, aren't any knives or any kind of object that is considered a weapon illegal to bring in schools anymore?

Still... even if you have something written in your pernanent record that you got into a fight and a pocket knife was in your bag, there are still lots of schools that will take you in.

I fought a lot in highschool, I had in my permanent record lots of stuff saying I was expelled for a weeks from school for fighting.  I even rammed a guys face into a locker and he has a scar cause he got cut from the handle... I entered college without any problems after I graduated.   Sure I did 2 summer schools so that I would not be 1 year behind... but I still got in.  As long as your grades aren't that bad.  I think that's the only reason why I got in... good grades, but bad permenent record for fighting.

But this is Canada... I hope USA schools aren't as strict about Permanent records as they are here up north. :P

Oh, wow.. didn't know that priests had to pay income taxes.. thanks for the info!

After reading your post, and seeing the varying salaries based upon denomination, it made me think... I wonder how many priests have chosen their religion based upon how much they can make...

    Thanks again for the insight..:)

Well I have been nearly kicked out too, for a stupid reason.

I said to one of my teachers that can she change her teaching style for a bit, because you dont teach us at any if you just say wee need to read from book, and then sit in your coach.

That teacher is absolutely all ways unfair to me. My other friend talked about something and the teacher didnt say nothing to them, but when they asked me to come there. The teacher shouted "Now your going to principals office", I said "Is that your revenge because I said your teaching style is bad?", She said that she will get me kicked from the school. My friends said something stupid to her, cause of that. But the teacher was even more angry after that.

At the principals office the teacher said im shouting insults to her, and breking everyday the peace and that all others like him but I have gotten them to my side. (What the...?).

I said I think that the teacher has a bad teching style, wont she do something to it?

The principal said to me that he has only hired very best teachers in this high-school. (All in this school hates this teacher, shes not strict. But she cant teach).

I said that he wasnt even in school when this techer was hired, and he shouted to me "ARE YOU TAKING APART OF MY JOB!?"

Then I said that why these all problems came from saying teacher is unfair to me, and being bad teacher.

Principal said to me, "If you say one word of lie anymore, you are kicked out of this school".

Well then I said "Sorry" and walked out.

    Thats it.

well today im makin a fourm page for us kids and parents gettin done wrong by school across the america becuase after sharing my case with some people they have given me out rageous storys about how the school done them wrong. I think as us student should have a preety big say in what goes on in are schools and what is best for us becuase lets get real every school is different why try to make them the same when there all different? and im not sure about you but we have alot of crapy teachers for some reason are gettin rewards for teacher of the year, tacher example of the year lalalllalala..... -_-.....  i have no idea what is becoming of are school today but we as kids and parents have a say in what goes on in are schools a bigger say then BOE in fact and we need to use are voice.

for the usa (dont know about other countries) one thing you gotta remember. You pay the principals and teachers bills, they arnt above you, you are above them. If they threaten you or start pulling shit, you let them and the board of education know.

  • joshcojoshco Member Posts: 38
It is illegal to bring a knife to school, but other things are considered illegal as well. Some schools make it illegal to bring things such as screwdrivers to school. Anything is a weapon, so they really shouldnt go on the fact that you had a knife alone.
  • Rikimaru_XRikimaru_X Member UncommonPosts: 11,718

It's my senior year too. Well the fighting back was ok but it's against school policy to have a weapon that is illegal on school grounds. It's actually your fault for carring a utility knife to school. About the intruder on school grounds, their has to be some charge against him (unless he got permission or had a pass to enter the school as a guest). That would make the library thing close to truth but a school being a public library?! Thats BS. You should have taken this event up to court and/or the School Board District. If you did, you might have won the case and still be attending school in Haiwai right now. Sorry to hear that man, but it is your fault (for taking a knife to school). image

Just act all sorryful, and say that I didn't mean to. I love computers, and I was using it to fix my computer, not to do any harm and stuff. Also, that intruder should be prosecuted. Why was that person allowed to come on school grounds anyway?

Dont you just love how the schools justice system works? I had something like this but i didnt get in real trouble. I was standing in front of my band room door where there was probably 15 kids while we waited for the teacher to come and unlock it, somebody shoved and a kid fell down. The kid that fell was -->laughing<-- and another kid, just playing around, came up and started tapin him with his drumsticks.

About a week later i get called to the principles office and the principle tells me that more than 8 people said i beat the kid up (note the entire time i was more than 5 feet away from the kid and just standing there). The next day i was called in again and she asked me to tell her what i remembered, which wasnt a whole lot because i didnt see it as a big deal at the time, she then began accusing me of telling lies and planed on giving me a lots of detentions. Finnaly my parents called the principle and told them to stop accusing me of it.

Also something else is that i have NEVER been in a fight and have nothing on my permanent record. Just because lots of people decide to work together and all blame one person does not mean its true.

    MoooOOOoooo!
