    Welcome!

Its a bit hard to suggest a server without knowing anything about your time zones, or if you prefer PvP server or PvE server. Personally I have little info on how the US servers are, but im quite content with the Splitpaw server (EU). Although it does feel like fewer and fewer is playing here too. Hope that the expansion will solve a bit of that issue.

Class combo. All kinda works, but the best ones are tank/healer i would guess, or switch the tank into a swash/brigand also helps. If you plan to join a raid guild later on, a tank may be hard to get in it, so just bevare of that. But, my suggestion is to go for what you feel/think is best for you two. A player that plays a class that he/her likes is way better than one that plays a class just of necessity.

haha lots of good points..I made the post right before running off to class so I guess it lacked some detail.

Looking primarily for a popular US pve server. While it might be fun to raid sometime..since we will be starting at level 1, raiding is primarily not my focus. We would, however, like to be able to do most of the lower end content..dungeons and what not. We talked about the tank/healer route..would it be possible for any other class combination to do lower end dungeons without possibly needing a full group? Was kind of thinking about troubadors..

I keep hearing Antoinia Bayle and Lucan DLere are well populated.

if you dont want to raid Id ask you to lvl slow - how ever hard that will be :P

EQ2 is endgame heavy. but hope you will enjoy it.
